  Extremely Convenient Stay in Yokohama

  Yokohama Sakuragicho Washington Hotel was a very convenient and efficient choice for our stay in Yokohama.The location was excellent, with the main train station and the Yokohama Air Cabin station located just in front of the hotel, making it incredibly easy to move around the city and explore nearby attractions. Having a 7-Eleven directly below the hotel was also a huge plus for quick meals, snacks, and essentials at any time of the day.One thing that stood out was the seamless automated check-in and check-out process. The self-service system was smooth, efficient, and easy to use, which made the overall arrival and departure experience very convenient.The stay overall felt very streamlined and practical, especially for travellers looking for comfort, accessibility, and efficiency in a central Yokohama location. A very solid choice and one I would happily stay at again.

  We stayed 6 nights at the Washington in a double room. It was a double by Japanese standards though not by world standards. As tourists in Japan for 3 weeks we had a bit of luggage so it was crowded. The room had a small refrigerator and tea pot, as expected. Everything worked correctly, there were enough elevators, and the staff were helpful. The breakfast buffet was quite good and the location, near the train station and shopping areas, was also great for us.

  Pros-We stay here for 3 nights after a 2 weeks road trip, before leaving via Haneda. This hotel is right next to Sakuragicho station. 1 stop away from Yokohama Station. Only 15 mins walk to the Cup noodles Museum and Red Brick Warehouse. Colette Mare shopping Mall was 5 min walk. We went to Enoshima during our stay, It took us just under 1 hour to get there by train. We also went into Tokyo for 1 day, took us 30 mins. Haneda Airport also took 30 mins only.Breakfast buffet was included for our stay. I love the automated pancake making machine, you can watch the pancake being made. The rice dispenser was also genius, you can specified the amount of rice you like, as low as 30 gram. The food choices were good and substantial.The luggage storage was free . We receivd a QR code to scan in /out of the storage area to retrieve our luggage after checking out.Cons-The room is very small. The thermostat was set to 22 degree and we could not get it lower to 20. It was not a comfortable temperature to get a good night sleep.

  Amazing bay view at night

  Although the entrance has a bit tricky to find, it’s actually next to CROSS GATE.I booked the bay view and I love the night view when the ferris wheel has lights on.The room is smaller than I expected, it’s clean tho. It also has some essential amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body cleanser, toothpaste and towels. They have provided other amenities (cotton swab, razor, hair brush and cotton puff) at 5th floor we can take whatever we need.However they do not have any bottle of water in the room and we prefer to buy from the convenience store downstairs rather than drinking from the tap.I’m impressed that they are using POLA which I love this brand!! The hotel is pretty close to JR station and have a lot of restaurants around, also have bus station nearby. I’d probably stay at this hotel again when I come to Yokohama next time.

  Smallest Rooms I Have Ever Seen !

  I stayed at this hotel for 1 week during my business visit to Japan. This hotel is located outside Sakuragicho station and is 10 min away from Yokohama station. The check in is located on 5th floor and there is no porter for luggage assistance. I had to carry all my suitcases to 5th floor for check in. Since this was my first visit to Japan, i requested them to show me the room first before checking in but they refused. So i went ahead and completed the check in. When i requested them to help me with the luggage as i was carrying two large suitcases they even refused for the help. They pointed me to the luggage trolleys kept in the lobby and told me that i only have to manage the luggage till my room. When i entered my room, i was so disappointed. The room was so small that there was hardly any space to move. There was not even sufficient space to keep my luggage. I immediately went to the reception desk and asked them to give me a bigger room. They told me that they are sold out and upgrade is possible only if i pay more. I paid them 5000 JPY per night to get an upgrade to next category room which was slightly bigger. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling to Japan for business or tourism. The hotel staff is not at all supportive.
