    APA hotel is conveniently located close to the Kyoto station. The single bed room provided was small but it was not an issue since I was staying for a couple of nights only. The bathroom was clean and they are very generous with the toiletries. The only issue I had was the electronic lock to my room malfunctioned. Luckily this happened on my check out date. The person at the front desk couldn’t resolve the issue and had to use a manual key to let me in. The lock issue prevented me from stepping out to do last minute shopping before checking out. I availed to the breakfast meal which was a Japanese dish and included salmon, pickled vegetables, a hardboiled quail’s egg with unlimited rice and miso soup. The serving size was enough for me but may not be sufficient for individuals with bigger appetite. I like that it was not the typical continental breakfast most hotels offer.

    Unfortunately I could hear the trains going past from my room, not enough to wake you up but the noise was there. Also my Father who’s 6ft tall had trouble having a shower in his room due to the low roof in the bathroom. Overall the hotel is average.

    great duvet. as typical small rooms but they are functional. good staff good wifi great showers but they did not feel like the cleanest rooms. location is the best very close to the train station.

    I like APA Hotels, they generally have a comfortable bed, are clean, and the breakfasts are good. This was no exception. Breakfast was a bit different as it was a set meal, but very good. The rooms were small, but that is normal. This was the cheaper of the APA hotels near the station. I would book here again.

    Stayed 5 nights in March with my father, two separate rooms, he came for business and I explored Kyoto, 5 min from Kyoto station and cabs and amazing food. Could not ask for a more perfect hotel for our needs. Clean, great location and friendly and attentive staff. No frills hotel. When traveling to Kyoto you shouldn’t be in your room anyways. My father will most likely continue coming for business and I hope I get to stay here again. Thank you!
