Beautiful hotel on its own right but combined with the price makes it a gem. Large rooms, multiple restaurants, pleasant service are all in play here

    Great hotel!

    rating17 May 2026

We really enjoyed our stay. The check in process was amazing and the staff were so friendly. The traditional Japanese breakfast was a fun experience. The room was large and had amazing products including face masks! Free bus into town and easy walk to City. Recommend!

    Bad service/manners

    rating02 May 2026

Overpriced for what they offer, particularly in terms of food. There were quite frequent communication issues throughout our stay. The furniture was very old and worn. Tsuba, one of the receptionists, was extremely rude when an issue arose on their side and did not apology. Other staff members were also rather impolite, probably because we are foreigners.

    Luxury in Kyoto

    rating25 Apr 2026

The hotel is located in a quiet area, but within walking distance of an MRT, although maybe not with suitcases. The hotel itself was excellent; the room was big and had all amenities, it had a few internal restaurants to eat at, buffet style breakfasts, was spotlessly clean, and the staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough for you. It was a great base to explore the delights of Kyoto - of which there are many - and we would certainly return here for another stay. One thing to remember about Japanese hotels is that many of them will forward on your luggage to your next hotel, which many people don't realise. There is a small charge, but well worth it. Overall, a lovely hotel and staff.

    A very positive experience

A lovely hotel. Our room was large, clean and quiet. The service was excellent. The breakfast options were numerous. They offered a free shuttle to a metro/train station, which was convenient.
