    A Nice Stay.

To get to this hotel from Osaka it is best to go buy Shinkansen to Kyoto station and then change at Kyoto station and go to Karasuma-Oike station and its a 6 minute walk away. We decided to hire Kens Taxi Osaka to take us to Kyoto as had plenty luggage and there was a few of us. It only took 1 hour to get to the hotel and got to see the countryside also. It is best to book Kens Taxi a month beforehand through Klook and then they will email you a day beforehand giving all information. Upon arrival we checked in and the check in process was quick and easy and all information explained where all facilities were. On levels 3,5,7and 9 they had vending machines where could buy drinks for your room, a washing machine and dryer for your washing and a microwave if you wanted to heat something up that you bought outside. The room was small but that was to be expected but there was room to put 2 luggage and 2 cabin bags and still could move around easily in the room . The bathroom was a bit small so that made it interesting to use but there was a bathtub in there if you wanted to soak in it after a long day. On level 1 there was the dining room where you could have breakfast Western style or go to level 2 if you want to have Japanese style breakfast. There was a 7-11 store just almost opposite the hotel , it was a 2 minute walk away where you could buy whatever you wanted. If you went to the main road then could find quite a few restaurants and coffee shops along the way and decide what you want to have. Gion was just a 20 minute away where if you wanted to see geishas or rent a kimono. A good place to rent a kimono is at Rikos Kimono and they do make up and hair for women but have to pay extra for that. At one stage we were looking to do luggage transfer from Kyoto to Asakusa, we asked one team member and since the phone number for our next hotel did not work for the paperwork they said did not know what to do. The next day we decided to try again with the luggage transfer but this time Anisa was there to help us with our problem. Anisa figured out the problem with the phone number with relation to the paperwork, rang the next hotel at Asakusa the Monday premium apart asakusa confirmed that the luggage could be sent to them and then we paid . In the evening we brought our luggage down and Anisa was there again to put the labels on the luggage. We thanked Anisa for all her help and were glad we had someone who could fix the problem and do what we needed. I would recommend coming to this hotel for at least a few days so can experience Kyoto and its surrounds and the hospitality of the hotel.

I really liked the hotel. The breakfast had both Japanese and Western choices. Location was great. Front desk helped us with dinner reservations.

    Unexpected Good deal in Kyoto

    rating24 Nov 2025

7-11 just 4 min walk, Metro station - just 6-7 min walk, at walking distance to Nijo castle, Best Indian restaurant Shubh Bihani within 5-6 min walk. Cleanliness, Hospitality staff behavior, everything beyond expectations. Breakfast spread is good but may be same all day as we stayed for 3 nights. But taste was Good. really VFM in Kyoto.

Good location, nice rooms, great price

    rating22 Aug 2025

We have been bringing visitors to Japan to Kyoto often recently. We REALLY like this hotel.Room size compared to other business hotels - generous. There are enough rooms for two people and luggage without feeling cramped. Location: a short 10-minute walk to Nishiki Market or the train, but far enough away from the noise. Three convenience stores, 1 -3 minute walk away. Enough restaurants close by to satisfy most cravings. Price: Look for deals, but this place was reasonable even during the summer holiday season. The breakfast buffet is their only weakness. It had the basics we were tired of it by the 2nd day. We laughed that the price of the buffet for the four of us was the same price as a night's room stay. If we didn't have folks who had medical issues, we probably would have gone elsewhere for breakfast. All in all - we were super impressed.

    Good Location, clean modern hotel

    rating04 Jun 2025

Location is good close to the metro and within walking distance of many places.Travelling alone, I got a small room, it had a double bed, but the room itself was very small, probably 15m2.Its a clean modern hotel, Fridge, kettle, no safe, bath with a shower overNice toiletries, Air conditioning. There was a tiny chair with a really short back, you couldn’t sit on it.Not sure why it was in the room..! Coin operated Laundry on many floors.Apparently the breakfast is nice but it’s 1650 yen that is quite expensive.
