  Great, convenient stay in Kyoto

  We had a lovely stay at the Mitsui Garden Hotel. It is in a convenient location close to the subway, making it easy to arrive at from Kyoto Station and in an ideal location to explore the city from. The hotel is also near some great restaurants, so finding lunch/dinner was never a problem!   I loved this hotel, from the moment you enter the service and ambience are on point. Such a wonderful hotel, small details but the beautiful serene planting. Water and coffee facilities available to travelers, the stamps. They really have taken time to think through all of this. They have laundry facilities on two floors which is handy in case one is in use. Rooms are clean, pyjamas that are provided were so comfy. The toiletries were organic. The only reason why I said 4 out of 5 is that vegetarian options for breakfast are non existent. That being said because of its location there are several places nearby.   We’ve stayed here before, and it’s a great base for getting around and seeing Kyoto, with a n attentive, knowledgeable, capable staff.The room is very well appointed, and quiet.The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a huge array of tasty items.The baths are so great!   Excellent location, friendly staff, clean rooms, and an enjoyable onsen.

  We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and had a fantastic time. The location is excellent, just a short subway ride from Kyoto station but in a clean, quiet street. The rooms themselves are small but clean, and the hotel has an enjoyable onsen.   Great location and quiet room

  This hotel was our base for 5 days in Kyoto and was perfect for exploring the city. Although the location is very central, the hotel is on a smaller street, so it was quiet. The bedroom was very comfortable, although we lacked space to unpack large suitcases. It has a fridge, kettle, safe, and adapter plugs. Complimentary pyjamas and slippers were included, along with toiletries. We couldn't to get the heating in the room working and had to ask Reception for help. They were very helpful, but the heating system has a lengthy time lag before it is noticeably warmer in the room. Breakfast was served in the restaurant on the ground floor, and included a generous variety of breakfast options. It was fairly busy and some days we had to wait 5 minutes for a table to be available. The hotel is located within 10 mins walk of the famous Nishiki Market, and 10 mins walk from Karamsuma Oike subway station. Thereby making it very accessible for travelling to anywhere in the city and beyond.Our room was a Comfort Twin, and did not have a view. The lighting in the room cleverly mimics light coming through a window, so it doesn't feel too enclosed.
