This hotel ticks all the boxes: great breakfast, hot spring, coffee upon check in, friendly staff. Modern and clean hotel with comfortable beds. Highly recommended!

Very quiet and elegant hotel. there are many convenience stores and fastfood restaurants around. a female staff at the reception was very very friendly and always smiling and I would give her No.1 receptionist title at Mitsui garden hotels . I love to stay here again

Convenient Comfort in the Center of Sendai
30 Dec 2023
Gee, I had no idea how big Sendai was until I studied the going rates for hotels there. My husband and I decided to stay at another Mitsui Garden Hotel, our third one of our vacation, because we knew their quality standards would be impeccable. And they were. No regrets for our decision even though it was a fair distance from the JR station. We were just surprised that the $207 nightly rate for a Moderate Queen Room was closer to the rate for Tokyo ($246) than Sapporo ($94) considering Sendai is little over half the size of Sapporo. The downtown definitely felt more congested which might explain why the hotel started on the 7th floor. We were up on the 14th, but we had no delays getting in and out of the hotel. Our Moderate Queen was quite suitable for these moderate queens since it had room enough for an actual chaise lounge. OK, it was just two cushions with a neckroll pillow, but it worked. There appeared to be an aversion to countertops in the bathroom, and tme constraints unfortunately didn't allow us to use their public bath. However, the front desk was impeccably attentive as usual.

Clean hotel with helpful staff
04 Aug 2023
We booked two rooms next to each other. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Rooms are tiny — small even by Japanese standards. 10 year old child commented “I love this hotel. Everything is my size.”Hotel was clean and had all of the basic amenities. Although we booked non-smoking rooms, we smelled cigarette smoke in the air. We wonder if it is coming from the HVAC system or our rooms used to be smoking rooms. There is one person at the reception who speaks fluent English. She was so helpful. The breakfast buffet was pretty good but very busy and the layout is a bit chaotic. The breads and pastries were not good but the warm items were tasty. The public bath is pretty basic but clean and a welcome amenity. we enjoyed bathing at the public bath since the hotel bathroom was so tiny. Location is very convenient— next to Hirose dori station, McDonalds and a convenience store. It’s one station away from Sendai Station. It is a bit of a walk and riding the subway isn’t all that convenient. We walked with our luggage in brutal heat. If we had to do it again, we would have taken a taxi. Overall we enjoyed our stay and we appreciate the friendly hotel staff who helped us a lot.

Good bussines hotel in the center of Sendai

- good location, not so far from Sendai Station and near the central commercial area- good room, not big but normal for Japan, very well equipped, with lots of amenities- the public bath at the last floor is a nice touch, not an onsen but a nice taste of what a public bath is for those that won't get the chance to see an onsen- good breakfast with lots of choices
