  Note the smoking status of the room if it's important to you

  We booked a reservation here directly from the hotel's website months ago and when we showed up, it turned out that we had not been given a choice about whether the room was smoking or non and only smoking rooms were available by 7:30pm when we arrived. It was too late to do a room "deep clean" (which I don't think would have really helped anyway). Our party could not tolerate the smell inside the room. We were unable to cancel on the spot without incurring a same-day cancellation fee, though the hotel did drop that amount from 100% of the first night to 80% of the first night. Still though, if a hotel has both options, they need to make clear up front on the booking (which it looks like third party booking website do). We were very disappointed and left scrambling to find other accommodations upon arrival while still having to pay for 80% of the first night, which didn't really seem fair since it felt to us like this was firmly the hotel's fault. The staff tried to do what they could, and I'm sure they were stuck working within corporate guidelines.

  Have stayed this hotel many times for the work and personal matters. About 5 min from Sendai station’s crossover bridge, a few min to convenience stores. Hotel staffs are always very polite and supportive. Breakfast buffet is reasonable, mainly ‘homemade’ type of Japanese menu (not the same menu everyday) and taste good. Room is clean, separate bathroom and toilet.

  The best bathroom for economical choice

  Tourist from Hong Kong here. If you're an "ofuro" person, you can't miss this hotel. The bathroom and bathtub is so big to hold 2 people comfortably (the tap of the bathtub can be rotated so no problem for 2 people face-to-face). Separate showering region and bathtub, which are separated from the toilet with a door. Shampoo and conditioner are in high quality, I can even feel the difference in softness and lightness of my hair before and after my vacation. The room might be a bit small but the bed is not. Not a good choice if you're a wide-space person. I think it definitely got everything you'll need. Everything is clean and tidy. Easy checkin and out. Staffs are nice and helpful as well. Got a convenient store on its ground floor (FamilyMart). 5minutes straight walk from Sendai Station. Great value for you money!

  You always get a decent room in a Hotel Washington. Very nice and modern bathroom - the room itself is on the small side but satisfactory when travelling alone. All amenities provided. Decent breakfast and located close to Sendai statioin.

  Not as I expected!

  Location: close to Sendai station (if you chose the right exit). Overall difficult to reach.Room: right size for two people and two medium / small suitcases. It had a kettle and a fridge. It had various amenities and the bathroom was beautiful! I would have cleaned the room more deeply tho.Check-in / staff: complicated and also self-service. As soon as you arrive they ask you to fill out a coronavirus self-certification and measure your fever (putting your hand in front of a thing, but it was useless since it’s inaccurate: 31/32 was the temperature, which is very unlikely) I found that the staff behaved like “Robots” and I didn't find them welcoming! To be more specific: staff did not add extra help to make the check-in easier, instead, just made me feel dumb to not be able to complete the process quickly. Price: expensive.
