    Amazing modetn ryokan

    My family of four stayed in a corner suite comprising of a large living room and a smaller bedroom. We also requestedfor a dpuble futon mattress and a humidifier which the hotrl provided.The onsrn, both indoor and outdoor was amazing. So sothing to just immerse in the theraupetic waters after each day of long trekking.The food was also outstanding. We stayed for 3 days and every dinner each day was different and specially customised to our dietary preferences.We slept soundly each night. The chillt mountain air kept us all tucked in bed for long hours.Shirafune Grand is prob the largest and most modrtn ryokan complex in shirahone onsen.Am glad we did pur extensive research and opted to stay with them.

    Great onsen, fantastic food and services. Hotel also provides shuttle bus services from/ to Matsumoto train station which is very convenient due to infrequent public bus to shirahone onsen. Hope to be back again

    We had such a good couple of nights, this place is the best. We were Snowed in so nothing to do but relax and enjoy the onsen. The staff are amazing and made sure we were well looked after. The English speaking receptionist made herself available to explain every meal, she was so good. Every meal was excellent, we were offered horse meat but declined and instead had an excellently prepared seafood and pork banquet. The outdoor onsen is absolutely magical but the surprise is the sauna with the coldest plunge pool ever.

    Outdoor onsen is good. Sauna is good. Food is great. Only the smelly room is not good. People need to take a small ferry to go there. However it was so stupid that everyone needed to produce a ticket to get on the ferry when leaving the resort. Even if the ticket was not included in the room tariff, everyone was required to have a ticket to get on the ferry on the day of arriving the resort. It was annoying.

    What an excellent hotel, service, cleanliness, location, meals and onsen were just perfect! They even have a shuttle bus from JR Matsumoto that takes you to the hotel up in the mountain, so make sure you request that. The service from all the staff were unbelievable, top notch! The food were divine! The room was large and clean. Can't ask for more for a place to chill and relax at an onsen and eat.
