Location

This city hotel is located on Ishigaki Island, the transportation hub of the Yaeyama Archipelago, which is an hour and a world away from Naha. The club resort is within easy reach of Ishigaki Airport, which is just 3 km away.

    My husband and I have stayed in dozens of hotels around the world. We rarely write reviews, but felt compelled to do so by the extraordinary service we received at the ANA Intercontinental Ishigaki Resort.We came here for a four night stay and enjoyed our time here immensely. It started with a lovely check-in with the bell and front desk teams. They were welcoming and efficient, and recognized our status with the hotel group which is always appreciated. We also had amazing service from the concierge team. We decided last minute to hire a car, and they assisted with the arrangements and had the car delivered to the hotel. They also assisted in recommending places to go and see, including some of the more obscure things on the island like pottery and weaving which we enjoy. The highlight from a service perspective was the food and beverage team at Saltida, one of the on-site restaurants. We ate dinner there each of our four nights, and given our vegetarian diets, we ran out of options after the second night. Mr Singh, the guest experience manager, recognized this and made arrangements to accommodate our dietary restrictions on the remaining two nights. Our gratitude to the chefs and servers at Saltida for making our meal experiences delicious and special! Thanks to the whole team at ANA Intercontinental for gifting us with a memorable stay! We wholeheartedly recommend this property.

    We stayed for 4 nights in May and had a super time. Top 3 things we liked:1. We upgraded our room to the Bay Wing - which is wonderful and newly renovated. Thank you to ARI on front desk for sorting this 2. Guided snorkelling with HIRO from the beach, where we swam with turtles and have amazing pictures 3. Services and à la carte lunches at Saltida restaurant. Thank you to GAGAN, and also for his great recommendations for places to visit in the portThings that can be improved:1. Food in the evening buffet at Saltida is cold2. The water park on the beach is expensive for guests - which is why there is usually nobody on it!3. No double beds in the Ocean Wing - so not good for couples

    Beautiful hotel and lovely food. Really enjoyed the pool slide and the beach being so close! The highlight of the trip was swimming with turtles - Hero was a fantastic guide and took amazing photos. Best experience of my life. However, the real star of this trip was Gagan, the restaurant manager. He is incredibly hard working, friendly and knowledgeable, and really goes the extra mile to make your trip special. He gave me and my family some local recommendations and we looked forward to seeing him around the hotel! The trip wouldn’t have been the same without him, so thank you Gagan - you are a star!!! ⭐ The rooms were always clean and the cleaning staff very friendly. Hotel gift shop was overpriced - in the local town you can buy the same items for 1/3 of the price.

    It’s a decent location to the port and all the restaurants and bars. Easy 15 mins from the airport. Breakfast is good. Concierge couldn’t help to book us any restaurants which was disappointing but kept pushing local Collabs .. it’s a shame that this is the case. Gym is very much average we had to find one locally. It’s ok ..
