  The second time visting this property and second time was as good as the first. While there are better hotels on the island and this is an older property it has all you need at a price point that is much better than other major chain hotels. They treat and observe loyalty and that makes the stay even more comfortable. It is not easy to find a hotel with a pool in Naha. This one has probably the largest.   Very small and dated rooms with no work space

  Terrible. Very dated. Tiny rooms, a bathroom the size of a small closet, no fitness center, musty, smelly, no desk or work space. Plus, no queen size or king size beds in the entire hotel. This hotel is not close to anything. Probably about 1.7K from the castle grounds and 2k from the shopping district but extremely hilly (I'm not sure how they can put "Castle" in their description - because it is surely not close by the castle).   Laid back Hotel, Fun tasty buffet breakfast, Easy parking, and good taxi service

  This was a convenient, welcoming hotel. We arrived here after a long flight from NYC, and were happy to have easy,ample parking, quiet clean rooms, and smooth check-in. We actually stayed here twice, one night each time, separated by a stay of 4 nights up island, and we were happy to come back to this hotel before our flight to Korea. We paid for the buffet breakfast and found it excellent - good coffee, interesting tasty foods, and an impressive variety. It was easy to catch a cab in front of the hotel and pay a reasonable amount for a ride to Kokusai-Dori street at night (we had a rental car, but didn't want to mess with parking in the busiest part of town, and wanted to relax with a beer or two), paying only $7 or $8, each way, for 3 passengers. (We really didn't see any restaurants or nightlife close to the hotel. No matter! Cabs were great.) We regretted that the rooftop restaurant was closed on Mondays so we were unable to enjoy the view from there. However, we had great views from our rooms, and enjoyed both of our quick stays. One con though: Our first assigned rooms were on the 19th floor, and were TINY and cramped! The next stay, we were on the 11th floor, and our rooms were MUCH larger and more comfortable. This is a nice laid back hotel, and the availability of reasonably priced taxis made it convenient as well. Note: Take a business card for the hotel with you when you hop in the cab. Some cab drivers have a little problem with English, and need to know WHICH Doubletree hotel you are heading to.   Clean hotel with some oddities

  I would say this hotel is between a 3 & 4 star hotel. Excellent staff, rooms were clean with nice bedding, nice pool area, but the hotel is DATED. The bathroom really needed upgrading - think trendy in the 80s, not so much now. Odd location, nothing near, and everywhere you walk involves an uphill. We UBERED everywhere. Also, at least one evening we were there we could not get ANY food, restaurants all closed (it was around 8:00) and no room service or shop with provisions. We ended up getting pizza through doordash.   Disappointed with the facilities

  Was disappointed with the hotel facilities. Did not mentioned that the pool was closed when we make the booking. Also mentioned there are fitness but there is no gym facility. As it was raining we can only stay in the room as there is no other facilities for my son.
