Beautiful property but it missed the mark!

    rating06 Jun 2026

Pros:The grounds are beautiful — our corner suite balcony overlooking the waves was the highlight. The room was spacious with a kitchen, and the amenities were nice. Food across the restaurants was consistently good — we enjoyed the breakfast buffet, Italian, pool bar, room service, and Japanese restaurant.Cons:Despite having a kitchen in our room, taking leftovers back incurred a service fee — something I’ve never encountered in all my travels. The pool closes at 6pm — hours before sunset — and staff promptly escorted guests out daily. For a beach property with virtually no beach area or services, this was frustrating. The kids club was listed as an amenity, but every visit resulted in locked doors and no staff present. Our beach house booking required a 4-minute walk just to access basic amenities, with zero beach service — not even towels.Service overall felt more policing than hospitality. We were repeatedly monitored and corrected for minor things — standing near the hot tub with a plastic cup triggered an immediate staff response. Walking to dinner, a staff member snatched a soda can from my hand with just a firm “No” and a finger wag — no explanation. The club hosts happy hour 5–7pm with self-serve drinks. At 6:59, I was mid-pour when staff began removing the barrels — still full — without a word, turning them to block access. We’d only been there 10 minutes. The approach felt aggressive and dismissive.Overall, the beauty of the property was undermined by rigid rules and unfriendly service.

    Value Simply is NOT there!

    rating28 May 2026

Our stay at Hyatt Regency Seragaki Island Okinawa was deeply disappointing and nowhere near what you would expect from a premium family resort. The problems started immediately with check-in, which took almost 45 minutes after a long journey. While the staff were polite and courteous, very few could communicate effectively in English, making even simple requests unnecessarily difficult. What shocked us most was how unfriendly the resort felt toward children despite marketing itself as a family destination. Pool staff rigidly refused to allow my young son to use basic swimming goggles and a snorkel in the pool, which felt completely unreasonable and unnecessarily strict for a resort catering to families.Almost every activity for children came at an additional charge. There was virtually nothing complimentary for families, which felt highly disappointing and misleading for a resort of this category. Even simple touches you would normally expect at a family resort — such as an ice cream bar, casual snack options, or child-friendly amenities — were completely absent. The food situation was another major letdown. The hotel does not even have a proper all-day coffee shop or casual dining option. Food quality throughout the property was poor, portions were surprisingly small, and prices were outrageously high for what was served. Unfortunately, because there are very limited dining alternatives around the hotel, guests are essentially trapped into paying inflated prices for mediocre food. The location itself is beautiful, but the room experience ruined much of that appeal. Our room faced the rear parking lot rather than the ocean — the last thing you want when traveling all the way to an island resort in Okinawa. The rooms themselves are also noticeably dated and somewhat run down, although still barely acceptable in terms of cleanliness and maintenance.Overall, this resort relies heavily on its brand name and scenic location, but the actual guest experience falls far below expectations. For the prices charged, the value simply is not there.

    Never go there again

Room was beautiful but hours of operation SUCKS. Nothing is available until late. Food was bot very good for the price you’re paying. You couldn’t even rent an electric bike until after 9:00AM and you donut through an app

    Unacceptable rules and regulations

    rating20 May 2026

Way too many rules and regulations. No good food by the pool. Smoking forbidden on private balcony. This is not firendly and not acceptable

Highly recommend for relaxing and vacation.Services, food, room hygiene meet all we needs. Particularly, the hotel offers both face soap and body soap! It's convenient to choose either soaps or liquid body wash. So touching!
