  Checked in the evening to a double room non-smoking. They put me on the lowest floor possible facing another building and air-con vents, can barely see any sky. I returned to front desk and asked to change to a higher floor and refused - even though they do provide for this room category.   Disappointing Stay: Unresolved Issues and Lack of Respect

  Thank you for addressing our concerns. However, your response doesn't quite feel like a genuine apology, to be honest.Your reply seems to lack respect for customers and even goes as far as criticizing our English skills. In fact, our English is quite proficient, and we communicated effectively with another staff member immediately after the incident. The issue arose when P. Huang approached us, displaying a discourteous attitude from the start, which eventually escalated.Since you've acknowledged areas for improvement regarding staff conduct, could you please elaborate on the specific measures being implemented? For instance, we'd appreciate knowing how you're addressing the actions of staff member P. Huang, who nearly threw her badge at my sister and displayed it in a disrespectful manner. As your valued international clients, we appreciate your commitment to excellence and look forward to hearing about concrete steps towards positive changes. We eagerly await your prompt response.

  Poor service of a staff during check-in

  Just wanted to share my recent experience at your hotel from 2024-08-20 to 2024-08-22. We booked a room through Hotel.com for 8 people under my sister's name, but things took a turn upon our arrival.One of the hotel staff members (Miss Hxxxx) informed us that the room wouldn't work for us and mentioned that this was entirely our problem without investigating further. It was disappointing, especially since we had made sure to book the right size room with a clear statement.What really struck us was how differently she treated us compared to the other staff members. While other staff members went the extra mile, suggesting solutions like getting an extra room, explaining issues with our booking, and even offering to rebook us on the spot.We noticed a sign at Naha Airport that talked about "The Realm of Politeness" (守禮之邦), and it made us think. It's unfortunate that the behavior we encountered didn't quite match up to that vibe.   Budget friendly hotel with great location

  We booked this hotel as it was budget friendly with convenient location (right on Kokusai-dori). We were just stopping by Naha for a night so didn't want to splurge on a luxury hotel. Hotel JAL City Naha met our expectations. Parking was towards the back of the hotel and the staff members there were very friendly and efficient. Everything was easy. However I couldn't give it a 5 star as the ambience of the hotel room isn't great. The lights was the cool white lights which made the room feel very cold. The floor was clean and new but it wasn't solid wood - just some wooden floor stickers which were not matte and it looked cheap. Hope there was better sense of aesthetics. Nonetheless happy to receive some small gifts as being a One Harmony member which was a surprise.
