    Superb!

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel at the end of January 2024. We stayed 3 nights in here. The hotel was super clean and our room was recently renewed. Breakfast was served on the top floor with a nice view. Our only regret was that breakfast was closed at 9:30. The staff was nice. The beach was great!

Great hotel, clean rooms, pleasant staff.

    rating25 Feb 2024

Very nice hotel at reasonable rates (I was there off-season). Room was large by Japan standards with a nice little lanai to sit out on and enjoy the seaside. The staff were very helpful and did their best to communicate in English (I hope they think I did OK with my limited Japanese). My stay was for work and was for 10 days so having laundry machines in the lower floor was super convenient and at a reasonable cost. The hotel restaurant is very good and there are other great restaurants within walking distance, plus it’s only 15-20 minutes from Nago city proper. The nearby Marine Life Park is also within walking distance and is a fun little spot.

    Do Not Stay Here.

    rating08 Nov 2023

Their website, as well as printed literature in their rooms explicitly states that their private beach, beach activities, and their pool would be open through October 31st. We arrived at the hotel on October 22nd to be told that we could not swim at their private beach, no beach activities were available, and the pool was empty and being used for storage. All despite it being 85 degrees outside with calm and beautiful waters. Upon request, they refused any sort of refund, all while admitting they sold me a room under fraudulent pretenses. The funny thing is, there was a gigantic group of a couple hundred high school aged kids staying at the hotel who were permitted to swim at the beach, and had exclusive access to beach activities. I would expect something like this in other countries I have visited, but not Japan. Disgraceful.

Good but not enough for 5 stars

    rating06 Dec 2022

I stayed here for 4 days as it's situated in the middle of most of the attractions i was going. Location : good. It has some good restaurants down the road (approximately 5-10mims drive) besides, it's easy to access to the rest of the places. This hotel is approximately 1.4km away from the place to take glass boat bottom. Food : breakfast was fantastic! I would say it's a great selection of food, but not wide. They rotate the breakfast daily. So you wont get bored of eating the same everyday. Room : spacious with nice sea view. We requested foe higher floor and also sea view. So our room was 814. It's spacious enough to put two huge luggage ard. Carpeted flooring. And they also offer 2 types of bedroom slippers. Facilities : there is a laundromat at the basement. No money exchange machine. So would need to change with the receptionist before washing. Souvenir store at level 1 sell great stuff. From food, to clothings, to mask. There is also an activity center which you can book to snorkel etc. would recommend to go early and book ahead as it seems to quite popular. Unfortunately, they didn't have a slot for us, so we didnt manage to try. Service : Average. The receptionist are not very friendly. They tried their best to offer the help, but i think their service can improved better. Maybe a bit more warmth smile and gesture may have make this a pleasant stay. But, breakfast service staff are very nice. There is this particular lady, that would greet us happily and she is also fast in keeping the place clean. Despite that she is busy, she will still give her best to service everyone. I like her! Carpark : hotel carpark is limited. So if you happen to return late and the carpark is full, you may need to park opposite. There are 4 carparks available. The only directly opposite the hotel is carpark 2 , there are also carpark 3 & 4, which is not very faraway. Especially weekend, the hotel gets really full as there would be Japanese flying over for short break. This hotel seems to have revamped. So the room looks new and comfortable. So, i would recommend this hotel for 1st timer as it's relatively affordable and also convenient.

    Great hotel

    rating05 Jan 2020

We stayed here on New Year Eve and loved the hospitality. The room was huge, lush (carpeted) and well appointed. The sea view and the sound of the waves crashing right outside our room was such a dream, even in the cold winter. For new year, the hotel held a countdown with traditional song and dance performances and lucky draws. There was toshikoshi soba served (with okinawan soba) in line with Japanese new year tradition and at the stroke of midnight, there was sake for all hotel guests. Amenities: - free parking. There’s ample parking as the hotel has different areas blocked out for hotel guests - convenience store downstairs with souvenirs but also sells drinks. Otherwise a family mart is within 10 mins walk at Best Western Hotel - buffet breakfast had a huge variety of Japanese food and cooked food. Also had some new year food which we thoroughly enjoyed. It’s best to come here with a car. There are no restaurants nearby other than those in the hotel. We found this local gem called Nagumagai restaurant nearby (about 5-10 mins drive). It’s a typical Chanpuru restaurant with stir fried dishes, noodles and sashimi. Their walls were filled with photos of famous politicians and celebrities visitjgbt he restaurant.
