  For the price this hotel deserves a five star. Good value for money. Rooms are spacious and even large for Japanese standards. Hotel breakfast was a widespread and was satisfying. It’s on the older side but well maintained. Hotel is next to Nagahoribashi station, exit 4 (literally just a door away). However it has stairs only. For escalators, use exit 1 across the road. Alternatively you can also access the subway using a CRYSTA mall lift on the same street round the corner- it’s possible to walk underground from the food zone to fashion zone to get to Shinsaibashi. Obviously the hotel is well located. It’s a 8-10 min walk to Shinsaibashi or Dotonbori

  The hotel is just beside a train exit. It is a station away from Dotonbori and about 10-minute walk to Shinsaibashi. It was not until our last night that we discovered there is an underground mall (Crysta Nagahori) from Shinsaibashi to Nagahoribashi. It would have been easier to walk underground than above ground, we could have escaped the cold winter temperature. There are also restaurants and convenience store within 5mins of walking. The room was clean and spacious. They clean the room when requested. Bed was comfortable though I would have wanted to have more pillows. The room we booked includes daily cleaning but we only requested it to get cleaned every other day. The staff were nice and friendly.

  Budget hotel with great facilities and location

  I stayed 5 nights in single room without daily cleaning;howver, the cleaniness and cofort of this hotel meets 3-4star standard. Advantage is centrally located spot where neighbor hotels are highly pricey. I stayed here for visiting Expo2025 , 30 minute metro ride and no hassle travel. There is a free coffee to go at the second floor. One of the most plus for me is guest library with coeorking space at front of the hotel lobby.

  Ark Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi, the best and most affordable place to stay in this buzzling city!!!

  Located just outside Osaka metro’s Nagaharobashi station’s Sakaisuji line and 10 mins walk to Dotonbori. If you’re looking for privacy and spacious rooms at a very affordable price then this is the best hotel for you!!! Perfect for couples or solo travellers for their standard rooms which we booked via Agoda. At just 75 SGD per night we got a good deal for a hotel in Osaka, it was a spacious Double room at 12 sqm. Nowadays, less than 100 SGD for this type of room is quite difficult to find in a big Japanese city especially those near Metro or Train stations. As mentioned the hotel is just outside the Nagaharobashi metro exit 4 and it has a big spacious lobby. They provide daily breakfast but we didn’t avail of it . Toiletries and Amenity kits are provided near the lift at the right side of the lobby for your own pleasure. Checkin was quick and easy and we were booked on the 5F. The space is the plus for this room enough to acommodate your luggages, shoes and other stuff. They don’t have wardrobe but have wall hooks for your clothes and towels but could have add more because I see only 3 on the right side. The hotel and room concepts is classic hotel style with a touch of modern vibes and Earthy colour tones. The room has combination of Earthy neutral colours of Brown, Beige, and Gray. It has a Grey floor carpeting which gives warmth to the overall feel. The Japanese style automatic bidet toilet and tub is on the left side. Toilet is my favourite part of the room because it is big and spacious compared to other hotels. It follows the Yellowish tone of room, provides clean and soft towels and container types Body wash/Shampoo/Hand wash which were very aromatic and has a lovely honey floral scent. Water pressure is strong and heating works perfectly. It is easy to fill in the tub with strong pressure in just few mins. The automatic Japanese toilet works perfectly and it has the perfect fit for cleaning your behind. Next is their study table/flat screen TV area which is located on the other side of the toilet opposite the bed. The white canvassed wooden study table is enough to fit your food and personal stuff. At this side, they provide the water kettle, complimentary cups and tea. They don’t provide free water but in Japan water is relatively cheap for purchase so its fine. There are 2 nice classic style lamps attached on the wall in between the wall mirror. The TV has local channels only and they provide free WIFI which is very fast and stable. We have the city view so its quite nice to peek thru our window both day and night. And then the small Double bed is just enough to fit 2 small adults like us and its perfect moslty for solo travellers. The room has enough space to increase the size of the bed which they could do in the future. The bed has warm, soft blanket but the pillows are quite hard and the mattress a bit on the firm side if you like this type. There is a wooden headrest with power, USB and type C outlets as well as lighting and airconditioning controls. I loved that they provide type C outlet which is now the most common type of charging outputs for electronics gadgets. There is compartment on top of headrest enough to fit your cup or can of beer as well as a small bed lamp by the wall side. We booked via Agoda without cleaning service, however, the hotel cleaned our room one time during our 5 night stay so kudos to Ark hotel!!! They also made sure to replenish our towels daily, throw our trash and provide us with the Blue/White chequered Sleeping robe which is quite unique color pattern yet I loved it very comfy and soft. In our room just like other typical Japanese toilets we have the comfy Brown slippers and they also provide the disposable ones, Air purifier, Blow dryer, Fabric conditioner spray and Shoe horn. There are free ice machines on some floors in the hotel and just like check-in, check-out was also fast and smooth. To conclude my fantastic review of Ark hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi, if your looking for a nice and a quick place to stay away from the busy areas of Osaka then look no further Ark Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi if here for you.   Like any other Japanese hotels, rooms are very small but their single room can fit your large luggage. Hotel is just next to Nagahoribashi Station via Exit 4 (no elevator/escalator) and 15 minutes by foot to Dotonbori, which is very convenient for travelers. There are also a lot of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. My room was OK for a solo traveler. Staff are very professional. Wifi is fast. Water pressure is high, with complete toiletries. They clean the room every third day, changing the towels everyday. There is no free coffee and bottled water inside the room. Please get a buffet breakfast in your booking when making reservations. I will certainly go back to this hotel. Ten stars for Ark Hotel!
