Basic hotel, Yotsubashi Metro Station Exit 2

    rating15 Jun 2025

The hotel is located right outside Yotsubashi Metro Station (Exit 2). The Yotsubashi and Shinsaibashi stations are connected underground so you can easily walk from one to the other. There's a Aeon Food grocery store and a McDonald's next door. The area was very appealing to us as it was calmer but walkable to the busy areas. The short-haired female employee with glasses at front desk was incredibly nice and attentive at check-in.We stayed in a wheelchair-accessible twin room which was spacious and basic. Cleanliness was adequate but it was obvious they'd cut some corners, while large surfaces were clean, some harder to clean areas were filthy. We didn't need our room cleaned during our few days stay but would leave our trash outside the door and it never occurred to housekeeping to provide us any new trash bags which they could've just hung on our door handle.Housekeeping were also so loud in the morning and would gather outside guest rooms with no disregard to the fact that some guests might still be sleeping. This hotel also doesn't offer coin laundry for guest use.

Great location close to public transport. No complaints about the hotel and FOH staff were very friendly. I would stay there again for sure. Big supermarket next door with most things you could want. Maccas VERY close (but no Decaf coffee).

Terrible room assignments and smoky hotel entrance

    rating24 Jan 2025

We were looking forward to staying at this hotel because of its modern look. We booked three rooms two months prior our stay in Osaka; however, upon arrival the hotel staff assigned us the worse three rooms ever on the second floor. The rooms were directly in front of the self serve ice/water machine, which guests on all floors came to second floor for ice/water. It was extremely noisy and annoying to hear the ice dropping from inside the closed door room and people chatting in the hallways non stop throughout the afternoon and night. In addition, every morning the cleaning staff put all the dirty laundry, maids' cart, garbage bag in front of our rooms from 8am to noon - disgusting looking when you enter/exit the rooms. We have previously requested a higher floor quiet rooms but none was accommodated. Hard to speak with the staff when they couldn't understand much English. When you walk near the hotel entrance you can smell the smoke coming from the smokers standing behind the brown gates as they come in and out of smoking area. One star goes to the breakfast buffet and the hotel is next to a nice grocery store with yummy cooked food selections. Terrible hotel service and do not recommend!

Very New and Modern Hotel, But Breakfast Can Be Better

    rating01 Jan 2025

My family and I had a fun first time visiting Osaka, which is around a 6-7 hour drive from Tokyo depending on traffic or a 2.5 hour ride on the Shinkansen. We stayed at the Hearton Hotel Shinsaibashi Nagahoridori for 3 nights from late-December 2024 through early-January 2025, paying around $181 USD / night per room. This 13-story hotel is located minutes away from the Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi areas of Osaka. On a scale of 1 to 5 stars, this hotel earns 3 stars. So now onto the pros and cons of why this hotel got 3 stars:PROS: 1. Location: So the first pro of this hotel is the location. This hotel is a several minutes walk away from the Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi areas. Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi are very live with many different shops and department stores. There is also an Aeon Food Style Grocery Store next door, as well as a McDonald’s and a Sukiya just 2-3 minutes away by walking.2. Close to the Subway Station: The second pro is the proximity to the subway station. The hotel is just minutes walk away from the Yotsubashi, Shinsaibashi, and Nishiohashi stations, which are served by the Yotsubashi Line (Y), Midosuji Line (M), and the Nagahori Tsurumi Ryokuchi Line (N). The Yotsubashi and Shinsaibashi stations are connected by an underground walkway with many shops and restaurants. 3. Modern and Clean: The third pro is that the hotel is very modern and clean. The hotel rooms and the lobby all look very new and modern. I felt very welcome when I walked into the hotel room. The hotel TV felt very clean and new and there was even a separate remote to control the room temperature.4. Nice Staff: The 4th pro were the kind and friendly staff. Every morning at the breakfast, the staff always welcomed us and always reminded us when they were closing. The front desk staff were also very welcoming when we came in the hotel every day and night. Now as to why this hotel did not get 5 stars:CONS:1. Small Rooms: The 1st con is that the rooms, like at many other hotels in Japan, are pretty small. The room didn’t have much space to roam around. I had to put one of my luggages on the bed every time to get things in and out of the luggage.2. Noise: The 2nd con was the noise, specifically since our rooms were right next to the ice and vending machines on the 2nd floor, we could hear others always coming to get ice. The room walls are pretty thin, making it easier to hear other guests outside.3. Bathroom: The 3rd con is that while not the smallest cruise ship-like bathroom, this bathroom was still pretty small. The sink inside had a little more room than the one at the Ryogoku View Hotel, but still not enough room that I had to bring my toothbrush and dental items to and from my luggage every morning and night.4. Room Has No Safe: The 4th con was that the room does not have a safe. For those bringing many valuable items like computers and iPads and expecting a safe inside the room, try another hotel. This place ain’t it.5. Breakfast: The 5th con and I would say the most disappointing was the breakfast. While the staff were always very nice, the breakfast lacked good fresh fruit in the morning, with only 1 fruit option per day. The miso soup often lacked appropriate toppings like green onions and seaweed. On the day we checked out, the miso soup did not have any ingredients inside and tasted pretty bland, with the sweetness going a little too strong, even coming from someone like me with a sweet tooth. From the pros and cons, would the cons prevent me from staying here again? No, the cons wouldn’t prevent me from staying here again, but it would prevent me from adding the daily breakfast to the room. I would recommend having the appropriate toppings for the miso soup out for us guests to blend with the soup as well as expanding the selection to include more fresh fruit. Other than that, I overall enjoyed my stay here, especially with the new look of the rooms and would definitely consider staying here again should my travels bring my family and I to Osaka.
