    This is a well maintained and managed hotel tugged in a quiet corner of Shin Osaka. The hotel had previously caught my attention due to its proximity to the Shin Osaka Station, where the Shinkansen goes through, and its seemingly good price value. I just checked out from this hotel yesterday after an 8-night stay. I can say that the hotel is very well managed by an excellent team of staff and property grounds are well maintained. With IHG hotels, I do expect a wider range of qualities between hotels in terms of hardware maintenance as I have seen some very tired IHG properties before. Not with this one (and also another one on Midosuji I visited in October). This hotel is very well maintain. The rooms I stayed in were spotless. Also, the staff was simply exemplary. Thanks to Namila, Hideaki-san, and the team of lady front desk staff, my 8-night stay was uneventful. I had 8 nights of good sleep. One other thing, my IHG elite status was honored.

    We had a nice stay at this hotel! The friendly staff really made a difference, they were super welcoming and always happy to help with anything.The hotel has a really modern design, which we loved. Our room was spacious, and the comfortable bed made it feel extra cozy. The hotel was very quiet, which made it easy to sleep well.Everything was well maintained, and the cleaning was done fast and perfectly every day.The WiFi was fast and reliable. The hotel is in a great location too, just a short ride to Shin Osaka, and the free shuttle made it really easy to get back and forth.Breakfast was nice — a solid variety. And for the price, it’s a great deal.We can recommend this place for sure.

    Good hotel with good facilities. Breakfast is full and a good choice is available. The breakfast area is a cafe the rest of the day, so you can get coffee or lunch at other times. What let it down was the room description. City view does not mean the back of the neighbouring building. This clearly isn’t good enough. The hotel is away from the main city, but a window with some daylight is the absolute minimum expectation of a ‘city view’. The staff sorted it out quickly and gave a one night upgrade for our last night but this should have been avoided.

    HI Shin Osaka is Very Good...But Not Great.

    The Holiday Inn Shin Osaka was in a good location, about 15 minute walk to the train station, but in a more residential area with less restaurants and activities in the immediate vicinity. Fortunately, the subway is excellent in Osaka and you can get anywhere in just a few minutes. Everything about the hotel was in the very-good category. The reception staff, housekeeping, cleanliness of the location all above average.I stayed here because of the in-room kitchen which was well equipped and worked very well. It's a good thing too because there are not a lot of restaurants near the hotel.While my status was recognized at check-in, it didn't get me much. I think there should be more amenities for Platinum Elite members like me. My wife and I were given ONE beer as a "gift", and I think breakfast should be included or a discount offered, especially because there are very few breakfast options close to the hotel.
