    We enjoyed our stay here and are glad that we chose to pay a bit more to have a larger room than most Japanese hotel. The bed was massive and my wife could jump on one side without me even moving. The housekeeping here was absolutely top notch and must be acknowledged. They did a superb job of cleaning our room and replenishing the amenities every day. The reception staff were welcoming. The buffet breakfast was delicious. A short walk from Osaka station, even with luggage was not a problem. Coin laundry here was a plus for us.

    Let me start with our check in ( 3 pm ) experience , since we were early , the staff showed us to a waiting room by the lobby which served complimentary coffee and tea which made us rather comfortable. We decided to walk from Osaka station and took the longer route although the shorter route, is a comfortable 15-20 min walk in the beautiful winter weather. The rooms are excellent but do take note of the double beds which is a default arrangement. All you have to do is push them together and you have your Kingsize ! I had fail to read the notice on the lift regarding the construction in the neighborhood which was the regular announcements that ceased after working hours. As for the breakfast it was slightly pricey but the spread was impressive and worth if you have the luxury of time to enjoy the range of both local and international breakfast cuisine. On the subject of dining options. the hotel is beside an alley of delightful cuisine from sushi bars, ramen restaurants, local bars and high end dining outlets. If you feel like taking a break there is Lawson convenient store next to hotel, for quick bites that you can sit down by the counter provided and enjoy your snacks! To tour Osaka Castle, we walked across the road and took Bus No 62 which brought us to our destination within 20 mins. The return is a different bus stop but also a stone's throw from the hotel. The staff at the front desk , seem ready to serve and support all our needs. Special thanks to Ms Nguyen who is probably from Vietnam who attended to our group. Keep up the great work and hope to visit Osaka soon in the coming months !

    We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. We booked a Queen room which was perfect for a couple. Can't say anything negative about it. It was clean with a fantastic bed and the room was a nice size. The breakfast was great with a large selection of asian and western food. The breakfast room itself was nice and big. The position of the hotel is also fantastic. It's not far from Osaka station but even closer to Nishi Umeda and Higashi Umeda stations that were perfect for getting to the most popular areas of Osaka as as well as areas like Shinsekai and Amerikamura. We would definitely stay again.

    True to my colleague's recommendations, Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka is a great hotel to stay in. The room was big enough (especially considering that this is in Japan where small rooms are usually the norm), extremely clean and tidy (the daily housekeeping is top-notch and excellent), and the staff are super friendly and helpful, and are able to speak English. In addition, the breakfast buffet is also excellent: you can choose to build you own typical European continental or North American breakfast, or follow the example of local Japanese guests at the hotel in having a typical Japanese breakfast. I will definitely stay in this hotel again if I'm ever back in Osaka for work or fun!
