  Hotel owner thief bad dishonest person avoid at all cost this placeThe hotel really worth 0, its very old dirty there are only 5 showers for 200 people. Imagine the wait time, same for the lift with 9 floors. The room I had smelled really bad. Owner didn't want to change.I booked on different sites and owner purposely doesn't write clear details, puts general photo. The room booked other nights looked exactly same than 1st night but apparently it was different.The owner is very dishonest and a thief so he didn't tell me I need to change room when I told I stay 3 nights. I could knowAs I didn't change room 2nd day he asked me to pay more than 45 USD price of additional night in good room. He didn't allow me to change the room the day after and did wrong calculation of price difference so that he earns more money. He's only after your money so be careful.As I said it's too much and not normal don't have so much money he called the police to oblige me to pay what he asked. They didn't speak English and did not try to understand that he's stealing me and totally dishonest.So briefly avoid at all cost, it's expensive dirty, the owner is really bad person just want your money doesn't care of the rest.I hope the karma will get him back for what he did.All the hotels around are much nicer but he didn't allow me to cancel

  A WORST STAY TO REMEMBER

  This budget hotel is worst than i expected. I don't usually mind staying in a budget hotel in Japan as I know that it is safe and clean. Hotel Taiyo is worst despite of very accessible in train station, the linens in the bed is very itchy, too much dusty, the common shower room in the 3rd floor is dirty, the only good shower is at the first floor. Common area is dirty, the sofa in the common area is very dirty, the other people staying is noisy, maybe they felt bad as we are. The internet connection SUCKS!!! We tried to ask for a 2nights refund but the front desk refused to. I don't recommend this hotel. WE REGRET THAT WE STAY HERE!!!

  We enjoyed our three nights in Taiyo. You can only expect so much according to the price. For that is was perfect. Cosy little Tatami rooms with aircon, fridge and window and storage nooks. Plenty of space in the hotel, also in the common areas and kitchen. Plenty of shared toilets and even an own Onsen. Even though it's right at the street, it's quiet at night. Located in a rather rough but real and charming area of Osaka right next to a metro station. Perfectly located for southern exploration of Kansai and the airport. Many nice individual touches, lots of shopping and restaurants around in a happening area.

  We stayed at Hotel Taiyo, I do see a lot of people posting positive reviews for Hotel Toyo here, that is a diffrent hotel and definitely not this one.The hotel is outdated, run down and in desperate need of renovation. The tile are old, worn and look like they have never been properly cleaned or waxed. The furniture is shabby and uncomfortable the bed springs where so prominent it left my hips and ankles aching. Our first night we went out and bought ourselves pillows as the ones here are unusable. There was also only one plug in the room so we had to spend even more for a power bar.The whole place was filthy with dirt and dust visible in every corner. The towels were dirty, and the bathroom was again unclean and permanently smelled of piss our whole stay. The amount of dust in the vents were slightly alarming from a safety standpoint.We also had major issues with internet 90% of the time. If you need internet for work you are SOL.The staff was professional and friendly, and the overall customer service was the only redeeming qualityThe location was great close the the main line station and the JR line.Overall, the hotel fell way below expectations and was a terrible experience that I would not recommend to anyone

  If you plan to stay at one place more than 5days with a low budget I suggest you stya here. You will get Japanese style room.Have a warmer and rack for your cloth. This place using a share bathroom, every floor have their bathroom but you may use any availble bathroom. But it still clean. You can cooked at the pantry near to the reception area. This hotel is center for Dobutsuen Mae Station & Shin Imamiya Station. End lot from the building you may see Family Mart. If you like to cooked, you can walk to the cheap market. It really cheap. Just ask for the Map area. I love this place. Worth my money for the backpacker.
