    If travelling to Osaka and looking for a great family hotel this is a fantastic option. The staff are more than friendly, the hotel facilities are great and the snack bar is really appreciated. It is centrally located and a short stroll to Dontonbori.     Our stay at karaksa hotel Osaka Namba was both pleasant and comfortable, even though it was limited to one night. The hotel’s location is exceptionally convenient, offering easy access to the Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori districts, both of which are only a short walk away. The room, while not particularly spacious, was thoughtfully designed and well maintained, providing a comfortable environment for our stay. We especially appreciated the practical bathroom layout, with the toilet housed in a separate enclosed space from the shower and sink area, which added to the room’s functionality. The surrounding neighborhood was notably quiet, allowing for a restful experience despite the hotel’s central location.     Mildew rooms, poor communication/service

    Family of 4, checked into hotel for 2 rooms connecting. Turned on AC and the stench of mildew/sewage was immediate- tried to see if it would pass but didn’t and contacted staff downstairs. He asked if we were going out or if they could work on the room… we said were staying until dinner but he could come up to inspect… he came up with a bucket of tools and said it’s usually the drain? Worked on the drain and then turned the AC back on, we could all still smell it. He asked if other staff could work on it… I’m confused why we aren’t just offered another room, clearly this wasn’t going away anytime soon and the smell was most likely already burrowed into all the linens…so I asked if there were connecting rooms that we could move to. He said yes but need to inspect both rooms and went to my parents room and said so sorry you have to stay 1 night since the bathroom was already used. At this point I’m appalled - you have a defective room that smells like crap and want to hold guests in there because the bathroom was used? I tell them that’s unacceptable - can’t believe that’s how they’re treating guests, for using the bathroom! He was very contrite and said he was going to take to his manager. The pushback we rightfully gave, finally got us into a new room, but not our parents, since the room was already “used”. The new room was pre-sprayed so much perfume (ad nauseam) but was still better than mildew.They keep saying “I apologize for the inconvenience,” so we asked how they were going to accommodate for no longer being connected with family? He said he would check again with manager for complimentary breakfast - who came up 15 mins later and said sorry there was miscommunication, but they cannot offer anything but next room is now open for our parents to move in if they want LOL. By now our parents have now unpacked and it’s too inconvenient. So all in all - I’m tired after long day of travel and wish we stayed next door Tokyu Stay Mercure, for those on the fence about this place. I am still shocked that they were pushing for us to stay in that smelly room!
