Strategic hotel for first timer to Osaka

    rating04 Apr 2025

The location is close from Namba station. It is very practical since we arrived through Shin-Osaka station, just one ride. It is also just walking distance to dotombori through a shopping arcade with many stores and restaurants. The staffs were very helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean. It supposed to be a flawless experience till the smell of cigarette smokes almost ruined it. They tried to give some solutions but it was only until the second day that we can get another room. It was little bit disappointing but I think they had tried their best except that they should really did something to the source if that smoke.

Convenient Hotel 5mins walk from Nanba Station

    rating15 Aug 2023

Basic hotel between Nanba and Dotonbori.Pros:- 5mins walk from Nanba Station, 1min walk to the walking street of Dotonbori.- Lots of restaurants in 10mins walking distance even after 11pm.- Public bath is surprising large.- Reasonable price and clean.Cons:- The hotel closed in main door and light at 10pm.- A bit old.

Big Changes with Location as only the consideration

    rating06 May 2023

Have been staying here for the last 10 years. Hotel policies have changed. 1. Cleaning is once on 3rd day of stay. 2. Coffee/Tea bags in room is available at the lobby. 3. Onsen only once a day at night time. 4. Luggage cannot be stored after check-out ☹️. 5. So unlike Japanese, staff never smile & unfriendly. 6. We were on our way out of the room when Reception calls at exactly 10:00am to vacate the room for check out !!!

    Very disappointing hotel

    rating18 Mar 2023

This was an incredibly disappointing stay. Starting with the pros:- good location - good size room (although I paid more for a bigger one knowing the size of some Japanese hotel rooms)- onsen on siteCons:- disinterest from the reception staff, something I have never come across in my 5 trips all over Japan in the past. They seemed intent on telling me at check in all the things they I/they could not do- you can’t leave your luggage with them on the day if checkout (which other hotel does this, especially when check out is at 10am!), they only clean rooms after 3 days, they don’t provide towels at the onsen so you must use your room towels, no breakfast available, tea and coffee and other amenities will not be placed in your room (you need to get them downstairs- seems a pity they couldn’t stock things at check in and you could top up as necessary) and if another person sets foot in your room you will be charged for an extra person staying. The latter shocked me as I had a friend in Osaka at the same time- no chance we were having a drink at my hotel! Not once was I offered any information about the area or even told about the wifi. I had to prompt for all of these things. In other countries I may not find this surprising but in every Japanese hotel I have stayed in the staff have gone to every effort to welcome you and provide you with any and all info and assistance you may need. - the rooms are tired and dates. No plugs next to the bed (in the 21st century this is a necessity), fridge in room but not properly functioning, aircon only in Japanese- a translation or guide on operating as most other hotels have if there’s no English on it would be useful. - the onsen is a great facility but felt a bit grubby. Also, big signs in the lift saying that you can only use them from 6.30-11 at which stage security will lock them! Also said that you can NOT use them in the morning. As you pay an onsen tax at the property, it seems a shame the hours aren’t more expansive. It all just seemed rather aggressive in tone. - no coin laundry available. This is a shame and is available at almost every other Japanese hotel and is very useful for travellers. This hotel could be made so much better with a few tweaks, mainly to attitude of staff and policies and some basic modernisation. Until that is done and at the prices charged (which in my opinion are high compared to similar rated hotels in other large Japanese cities, all of which provide a better product), I would steer clear of this place.

Gracious staff Strategic location Perfect accommodations Very cleanLocation is next to the train system. Underground train system is interconnected.Walk to Exit # 11(next to green atm). Walk upstairs . Walk 10 feet and turn right into the mall. Pass FamilyMart and turn right into the small alley. Hotel is located mid alley. Fast check inSuper fast WiFiRooms was perfect for solo traveler. Two travelers will be a challenge. Enough room for one small carry-on luggage. Large luggage will be a challenge, but doable. Shower/tub Fills Will hot spring water . Shower water pressure is one of the best in my travels. Soaking in the tub after a 15 mile trek, was heavenly. Toiletries available in the lobby. Shampoo and liquid bath soap in the shower. Not much room to put your items, but can place on the desk. Bath towels and yukata provided and exchanged every other day. Hotel is very quiet , given its central location. Instructions: Hot bath ONSEN for men is located on the 10th floor . Open from 6pm-11pm. Wear your Yukata and slippers provided in your room . Bring your key card and small towelPress 10th floor. Enter ONSEN and place your slippers by the door. Slide open the door and place your clothes and items in the basket. Slide open the door to the shower/pool area. Take a shower using their provided shampoo and gel. Now you can enter the pool and sauna area. Large hot pool (fits 10) and a dry sauna (fits 5) . Enjoy 2-10 minute walk to the below locations: Tons of food, bars , entertainment, shopping , JR and all other trains , cafes, breakfast , dontoburi canal , etc etc Excellent stay .
