    The worst hotel I’ve ever been to!!!!

    I am currently staying here, just checked in and my god, how dated and shabby this place is! They gave us a room with a view of noisy construction which penetrates through the windows loudly. (See photos) when I asked for a room that doesn’t have construction they took me 4 floors up but above my existing room. Go figure that out? When I asked again for another side they said they could not move me. I was polite, they were polite but seemingly unwilling to correct this huge error. I know they can’t help construction but they can help the situation by moving me. It’s not hard, all they have to do is move me to the other side. Aside from that, the room itself is battered and bruised. Dated to the 18 century I reckon. Walls are yellow from age. Monterey hotel group hang your heads in shame. I won’t review anything else on this filth hole as it already has failed at the first hurdle.

    The hotel was nice and had a good location close to Osaka Castle and Osaka Loop Line. The breakfast was good, but a little overpriced. However it was the friendliness and service level that took this hotel from very good to excellent in my view.

    入り口は案内人いないし、料理の味は普通。サービスは最悪、別のテーブルにお水をやったりするですが、こっちのテーブルが何回も無視された。皆のグラスが空になったですが、こちらから目を合わせても、見ないふりにしたかなぁ、スタッフはじっと動かない、外国人だから差別すると思う。夜景はすごく綺麗だ。There is no guide at the entrance, and the taste of food is normal. The service is worst, watering another table, but this table was ignored many times. Everyone's glasses were emptied, but even if I looked at them from here, I wondered if I couldn't see them.     This hotel offers excellent price value for Japan. The rooms are bigger than what you would expect in this price range and the breakfast buffet, although not extensive, is of high quality food. Service is decent as you would expect. There are no facilities like gym or pool. The location is mostly good, as it is close to several subway lines and has 2 convenience stores in vicinity. Other than that it is within a business area, so don’t expect bustling narrow streets. Osaka castle is in walking distance (15min).     One day trip to see Osaka castle

    Great location, took the train here from Kansai Airport, then about a 10 minute walk to the hotel from the station. Osaka Castle is about 5 minutes walking distance and the subway is within 5 minutes as well so easy to get around. Lobby is very nice, rooms were nice not small.
