Location

The hotel is just 3 minutes' walk from the train station and 30 minutes by train from Kansai International Airport, with a 24-hour shop, restaurants and nightlife spots all in close proximity to the hotel as well as recreational and entertainment pursuits.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 257 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, room service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. A fax machine is on hand for guests' business and communication needs.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A balcony is included as standard in some rooms. The rooms have a double bed and a sofa bed.     Difficult to find this hotel. Other than that, it's good.

    I've attached photos of both the entrance to the hotel AND the entrance to the shopping arcade where it's located. I don't believe you will find the hotel with just the street address alone. The Namba Oriental is on the Sennichimae Doguyasuji Shopping Street. You have to find the shopping street, which looks more like a shop than a street (see photo), then you walk into the street aways before you find the entrance to the hotel. Confusing for any non-resident of Osaka; which, of course, is the only type of person who would stay here. So location is a problem for this hotel.Once you find it, though, it's a good place: nice rooms, helpful staff, good breakfast buffet. The entrance to Sennichimae Doguyasuji faces the entrance to the Metro station, so that will help you find the location and find sites around town. The Sennichimae Doguyasuji itself is something of a good cultural experience. Walking through it, you will see plenty of restaurants, pachinko parlors, clubs, even a radio theatre. Good place for people-watching. Conclusion: take time to figure out how to find it; then you can expect a good experience once you get there.

    Excellent location especially if you're considering taking the Rapit express to Kansai airport. Hotel is newly renovated, spacious rooms, clean and nice reception area, hotel staff are very courteous and helpful as well. Even if it's in a busy area, rooms are quiet. Ideal for families.

    You stay here for the location. That is it. The hotel is in a desperate need of a renovation and it feels dirty. The carpet, bathroom and furniture are beat up. This hotel needs a whole overhaul. It was the most expensive room we stayed in and what a disappointment.

    My wife and I chose this hotel for it's location, close to transport to the airport. This Oriental chain is the not the 5 star chain from other Asian countries. It is a travellers' hotel. What you see, is what you get. The double bed room was comfortable and a good size. The room's floor was large enough to open two large suitcases, though it was difficult to move around freely around them, but we managed. The hotel entrance is located in a shopping Arcade and suitcases need to be wheeled along a busy thoroughfare, with a lot of pedestrian traffic. There are some nice cafe's near the hotel entrance, where we had barista coffee or a pot of tea and a cake, before heading to our room each night. Breakfast in the hotel is pretty good with a very good selection of Asian and western food on offer. We particularly enjoyed the Signature, Truffle Butter, Bacon and Maple Syrup French Toast. I had it most mornings. Staff at the breakfast room were warm and friendly and acknowledged us each day. The hotel is a great base and that is why we recommend it.

    The foot massager has n our family room is just one of the many thoughtful and smart amenities of this hotel. It is quiet and offers an oasis to travelers from a complementary laundry lounge to ice cream in the freezer. Our teenage sons approve and so do we as parents.
