  Compact and clean business hotel near Shin-Osaka, but beware of confusion of location and check-In system

  新大阪駅から徒歩5分程度のところにあるビジネスホテルです。御堂筋線の大阪駅からであれば比較的アクセスしやすいですが、新幹線やJRの改札口からの場合、やや行きづらいと感じるかもしれません。『ヴィアイン新大阪』の名前がつくホテルは、新大阪駅の東側と西側にあり、このホテルはその西側です。間違えて東側のホテルに行かないよう、事前にホテル名は確認した方がいいでしょう。もし間違えて東側のホテルに行っても、西側のホテルに運んでくれるようなシャトルバスは存在しません。チェックインフロントは2階にあり、ホテルのエレベーターは必ず2階に停まるように設定されています。チェックインは専用の機械を使用して実施しますが、やや使用しづらい、という印象でした。例として、住所の入力に1文字ミスがあった場合、その1文字を削除する機能はなく、最初から住所の入力し直しを求められます。フロントに常駐しているスタッフの口調は原則丁寧ではあるのですが、チェックインに専用の機械を使用するよう強く求められ、混雑していてもスタッフの対人カウンターで実施してくれない場合があります。客室はコンパクトながら清潔に保たれており、快適に過ごすことが出来ます。一方で部屋にも依りますが窓の外が別の高層ビルの壁となっており、陽の光が全く入らず、朝目覚めても外はまだ暗いと錯覚するかもしれません。比較的リーズナブルな価格で宿泊できますが、個人的には真っ先にお勧めできるホテルではないように感じました。This is a business hotel located about a 5-minute walk from Shin-Osaka Station. While it's fairly accessible from Osaka Station on the Midosuji Subway Line, it can be a bit difficult to reach from the Shinkansen or JR gates due to the station’s large layout and multiple exits.There are two hotels with similar names - both called “Via Inn Shin-Osaka” - located on the east and west sides of Shin-Osaka Station. This particular hotel is on the west side. To avoid confusion, it's a good idea to double-check the hotel name and location beforehand. If you accidentally go to the east-side location, be aware that there is no shuttle service connecting the two.The check-in counter is on the second floor, and the elevators are programmed to always stop there. Check-in is done via a self-service kiosk, which I found a bit frustrating to use. For instance, if you make a typo while entering your address, there’s no backspace function - you’ll be required to start over from the beginning. Although the front desk staff generally speak in a polite tone, they tend to insist that all guests use the kiosk, even during busy times, and might not accommodate in-person check-ins at the counter.The rooms are compact but clean and comfortable. However, depending on your room’s location, the window might face the wall of a nearby tall building, allowing almost no natural light. You may even wake up in the morning thinking it’s still dark outside.The hotel offers relatively affordable rates, but overall, I wouldn’t consider it my first recommendation.

  A cheap hotel near shin-osaka

  located near shin-osaka station and it would take about 7 minutes to station by walk. There is a convenience store near hotel. The room is not big enough but suitable for one or two person. The room feature a TV, air conditioning, fast free wifi. You can drink safely from the bathroom sink.

  The single room is not big, but it's just right for 1 person. It's also a great value for money considering that the hotel location is superb (just about 5 minutes walk from Shin-Osaka station). The staff don't speak good English so don't expect that there will be no communication difficulty. Nevertheless, it is a very clean and modern hotel that's worth your money.

  Stayed for one night in early July. Very clean hotel and well equipped rooms although the pillows on the bed felt like they were filled with gravel. Very handy location, but the directions to the hotel from the station need to be clearer. I had to ask the local police for directions as once you leave the station there’s no way you’d find the hotel unless you had gps guidance.

  I only stayed 1 night here and chose it because of its close proximity to the train station as I needed to get the early train to the airport. It is only a short 5 minute walk from the station but make sure you take the correct exit or you will be walking around for ages. I found exit 4 from of the subway line (still part of shin Osaka station) to be most convenient. When you exit from here you will see a soccer ground, walk past it and take the first right and walk straight down for about 2 blocks, hotel is on the right. Hotel is in a business area so not much interest for tourists. Room was clean but very tiny however, this is fairly normal for Japan. The bed was firm but comfortable but I found the pillow a bit hard. There is a 7/11 next door as well as a restaurant. Good wifi and reception staff helpful.
