    Efficient stay.

    rating30 Apr 2026

I like the connivence of APA. Room was clean and bathroom had great amenities. I like how I could actually open the window for fresh air even though there was no view. Truly didn’t expect a view. Pretty small but for the price it’s ok. I’d stay at another APA. AH築地駅南 宿泊, オーナー at APA Hotel Tsukiji Ekiminami, responded to this review Thank you for staying at APA HOTEL .All of our staff are delighted to receive your kind words regarding the convenience and cleanliness of your room.As our hotel is designed with a “new urban hotel” concept in mind, the rooms are compact. While it may be difficult to make immediate improvements, we will take your feedback into consideration for future hotel development. We look forward to welcoming you back.Receptionist Tsuzurahara

    Great Stay!

    rating02 Jun 2025

First impressionsI arrived at the hotel around 1pm to drop one of my bags off at reception and collect a sim card that had been delivered. To drop off baggage you have to scan a QR code, the staff were great they assisted me with the QR code as I hadn't connected to the WiFi yet. They will give you a ticket to claim it back later. The staff could speak basic english and were happy to use Google translate if they couldn't understand you.The reception area was immaculate, I loved the attention to detail, I noticed staff would carry anti bacterial spray and clean the lift buttons after calling the lift! it was great to see the pride they had in keeping everywhere clean. a nice touch when leaving the hotel in the morning was a bow and good morning from the reception staff.RoomThe Room was fairly small as expected for Tokyo but not too cramped. Bed - The mattress was a little harder than I expected but I still slept great each night. I think it's a Japanese preference for a firmer mattress. The bed's headboard had 4x power sockets and a USB socket. There were also light switches for the reading lights, the desk, the bathroom and even one for underneath the bed so you could see inside your luggage stored under the bed! great attention to detail again! 'the goodnight' mode turned every light in the room off. Bathroom - Bathroom was tiny but everything worked, was clean and had plenty of toiletries provided the shampoo was good quality and smelt great. The container in the bathroom had toothbrush and toothpaste, flannels, disposable razor etc and refills were available. The cleaning staff would leave a bag of extra towels each day and a refill of some of the above items. WiFi - They had fast free WiFi and they had seperate networks for each floor of the hotel. I've never seen this at any other hotels and it makes total sense and I had a fast and reliable connection throughout my stay. Probably the best wifi I've had in any hotel. TV - big screen size for the room, think it's a 50"? Another nice feature I hadn't seen was information on the TV homescreen telling you when cleaning was scheduled, your check out date etc even things around the hotel like lift maintenence were shown on the main home screen.Screen mirroring allowed you to link android or iPhone to the screen. Although it can't mirror from Netflix or other streaming platforms for copyright reasons.I used it with the YouTube app and worked great. Tea and coffee - They had a kettle with sachets of green tea, coffee and milk powder(creamer) the kettle looked brand new and was very clean. Mini fridge - Again this was immaculate.Overall very impressed with everything and would stay again! One night stay

    rating27 Jul 2020

Actually stayed in August 2016. Took the Shinkansen from Osaka and stopped here for a night stay, to check out the Tsukiji Market. Super small but decent hotel. Super small bathroom too, but it’s very practical given we were just there for a few hours. I think we checked in around past 10pm and had to wake up around 2ish am and started walking to the market for an early queue. I think we got back around 6-7am and checked out around 1.. so we basically had appx 6 hours in total of experiencing this small hotel, and I must say tho it was short. I slept really well. Could be the comfortable bed. Thumbs up. I think this sorta hotel is good for budget travellers! Uncomfortable Bed

    rating01 Jan 2019

The bed is totally uncomfortable (old styled spring bed, the coil already broken), and pillow also seems already used for years. I think they should consider to upgrade their bed completely. Cant recommend this hotel. Ahtsumin, フロント at APA Hotel Tsukiji Ekiminami, responded to this review Thank you for staying.I felt sorry for the uncomfortable feeling about the bed.The hotel uses original beds and is slightly softer. You can also flip the bed, so please tell us the next time you use it.Thank you for taking your valuable time this time. All staff members are waiting for your visit.Accommodation Division Iida

    Not worth staying there

    rating24 Nov 2018

Stayed there purely because of the location as I wanted to watch the tuna auction in the early morning. Service was pretty average, staff was a bit cold and also not very fluent in English if you asked them anything outside the normal check-in process. Room was small as expected. Was actually surprised to find enough space between bed and window to open my suitcase. Bed was ok, not great but at least better than the Ikebukuro APA. Cleaning could definitely be improved. There were stains on the wall near the bed and above the bins. There was also constructions happening so a fair bit of construction noise during the day. I was up early to the tuna auction and was hoping to take a nap before I checked out. No luck getting a decent sleep with the noise on. In terms of location, it's close to the fish market, which is probably not so relevant to tourist now. In terms of train station, it's about 10mins walk but u do need to cross a few streets to get to the hotel and not all exits have lift if you have a big suitcase. Can't say I have any need to stay here again. Personally not really a fan of the APA chain as I've stayed in a few times and it's always a mix bag of people staying there and so I don't feel particular safe staying by myself and the beds in particular were not comfy at all.
