Wonderful Hotel

Perfect. We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The front desk staff were extremely helpful & friendly. The swimming pool was beautiful and relaxing. The Street Side Executive room was spacious, with stylish and elegant interior design, and a wonderful view of Tokyo from the 21st floor. Food selection, we couldn't have asked for more in selection, quality and variety.The hotel is also conveniently located in Asakusa, with the main shopping area on your doorstep. Highly Recommend. Couple from Ireland in our sixties.

Wonderful Hotel Staff and Views - Dinner Questionable!!

Lovely stay overall at The View Hotel Asakusa. The staff were exceptional – so attentive and kind, even leaving a handwritten note after helping with our bags, which was a really thoughtful touch. The location and views are fantastic.However, the buffet dinner was very disappointing – food was cold and average, and £80 for two (with one beer) felt poor value. The restaurant staff were also abrupt and unwelcoming, which was a stark contrast to the rest of the hotel. We wish we’d skipped it and had dinner out instead, for a fraction of the cost!

Yes, I would stay again. However you should be aware, be careful to book through the hotel itself and be SURE to book non-smoking if this is what you want. The front desk people are very helpful, really good with Tokyo knowledge and just looking things up for you. The gym is in another building and kind of ridiculous, don't count on much of a workout. The pool is good, but costs extra to use. Location is great, rooms were great.

Very disappointed overall with this hotel. Quite expensive for a family of 4. Booked mainly because it has a swimming pool but no where does it say on any booking page the pool is an additional charge. Room is small and dated. By the time we stayed the next grade room was cheaper than our booking but the hotel wanted to charge me Y4300 per night to upgrade!Lots of noise transfer from other rooms. Every morning I've been woken up by the room above getting ready for the day. The extra bed which is a permanent fold out bed is rock hard and lumpy. Heating is centralised and not adjustable. Great location but wish I had stayed somewhere else in this neighbourhood. Staff friendly but not that helpful.

Disappointing Stay Despite Great Location and Views

I really wanted to love this hotel, but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The property was under construction during my stay, and there was no prior communication about it, which made the experience quite unpleasant.Additionally, the pool and fitness center are for members only, which was not clearly stated when booking. It felt misleading and frustrating to find out only after check-in.The only positives were the amazing view and the great location, just steps away from the beautiful Asakusa temples and the old Tokyo charm. However, the hotel itself seems to cater mostly to Asian tour groups and local travelers — if you’re a Western traveler looking for comfort and transparency, I’d suggest considering another property.Overall, the location and views couldn’t make up for the poor communication and limited amenities
