    Excellent Tokyo Hotel in central location

    We had a great experience. The executive 1 BR was perfect, the kitchen was well equipped, we had a large bathroom and 2 separate toilets plus a washer/dryer. The hotel is in a great location a block from the Imperial palace and close to Ginza. You can easily get anywhere from the train station that can be accessed through a door in the hotel entrance. We ate breakfast at the hotel one morning and enjoyed it. Would highly recommend this hotel.

    I recently had the opportunity to visit Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo for a benchmarking tour, and it turned out to be far more inspiring than I had expected. Rather than a simple property tour, it felt like experiencing the essence of luxury hospitality firsthand.What impressed me the most was the remarkable professionalism and training level of the staff. Our tour was guided by Sunhee Kim, and it was hard to believe she had only been with the company for about a year. She explained the hotel’s facilities, design concepts, and brand philosophy with the confidence and depth of someone who had worked there for many years. It clearly reflected how strong and well-structured Ascott’s staff training system must be.Several elements throughout the property stood out and broadened our perspective on hospitality:Signature Scent MarketingFrom the moment we entered the lobby, the hotel’s signature scent created a strong sense of identity and atmosphere, demonstrating how sensory branding can leave a lasting impression on guests.Thoughtful Seasonal DesignThe property subtly incorporates interpretations of Japan’s four seasons throughout the space, creating a calm and comforting environment for guests.A Modern Interpretation of TraditionThe harmony between modern facilities and the Japanese-style rooms beautifully reflects how local culture can be integrated into a contemporary luxury setting.Another memorable moment was that General Manager Takuto Yoshida and Housekeeping Manager Riku Fuseno personally took the time to welcome us and guide us through the property despite their busy schedules. Seeing leadership so engaged on the floor was a powerful reminder that true hospitality begins from the top.This visit was far more than just a hotel tour it was a valuable opportunity to learn about service philosophy and operational excellence.I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to experience thoughtful design, genuine hospitality, and exceptional service.     Mishandling of luggage

    We spent a total of 3 nights over 2 periods at this hotel. The first period was for 2 nights beginning on the 20th Dec. 2025. I would have given the hotel "4 stars" if this was my only experience at the hotel, the service was friendly, helpful and accommodating, in fact they upgraded us! We left 2 Ski bags at the hotel to be picked up on our return journey a few days later on the 26th Dec..On my return, one of te lock on my ski bag was missing and it looked looked like it had been treated roughly by its handler. When I enquired at the front deck, a male employee ( I didn't ask for his name) was not at all concerned and show no empathy at all.     Unlikely to return or use Ascott in the future

    Location is convenient as it's close by Tokyo Station. The bad side of it is that the area is very commercial. Room is large, spacious, and does have a luxurious feel to it. Breakfast was included but it was a tad boring for the room rates. I specifically remove three stars for the following reasons: I misread the check out time. I was 1 hour late to check out. They charged me $370 for one hour late, mind you the rate for the night was about $750. Is this fair?     Terrible place to stay. Do not book would be my advice and I don’t often, at all, write poor reviews, but this place is not good.The rooms are great and should be for the price, but service is a let down. Just informed that on Sundays you have to leave your room between, wait for it, 11am to 6pm as they shut power off. Are you kidding me. They informed me at check in. If I knew before would have gone elsewhere. That’s beyond poor. I asked what the discount was as unable to use room and facilities for most of the day and the answer….none! Unbelievable. If you were wanting to use a microwave then they’re done for 3 days; the length of my stay. Can’t come quick enough.
