  Spent the first three nights of our trip here. 40 minutes from Haneda Airport and located in Chiyoda. Greeted by lovely staff, although check in and checkout is automated but quite straightforward.Room was clean and comfortable but small compared to European hotels. Well equipped with additional amenities available from reception. Left luggage facilities available in the lobby.We had breakfast on two mornings - the restaurant is part of a cafe and library and good value, too. There is also free coffee and cake available in the afternoon although we didn't partake of this.Local convenience store literally 2 minutes away and Kanda Railway Station about a 15 minute straight walk away for local trains to Shibuya and Shinagwa and one stop from Tokyo Station for connection to Shinkansen services.Would happily stay again.

  Very clean and comfortable hotel

  I visited here for ten days in June 2025. It was a reasonable enough accommodation. The hotel room I was staying in was quintessentially Japanese, in a good way. It had a fairly compact bath, and a toilet with a built in bidet. It was also possible to heat the toilet seat. The kettle was capable of keeping the water hot for quite a while after. The room also had a fridge. There was a shower also. The bed was comfortable. A TV was also in the room.Every day room service would change my bedding and make the bed. Fresh towels were provided. The hotel also had free nightgowns in the hotel lobby, along with a variety of other useful items, including razors, hair baubles, cotton buds etc.I had breakfast included in the price. The breakfast encompassed a lot of things. There were cooked savoury dishes plus the usual breakfast fare, i.e. smoothies, fruit, cereal, pancakes. There was a pancake making machine which allowed you to see the pancakes being made right in front of you, which was novelty.The breakfast was decent enough for the price, i.e. average. I had no complaints. All of the staff were friendly, including the staff at reception. I had a generally comfortable stay in the hotel. My only issue was that there were no stairs available other than the fire escape stairs. Given that the hotel was very busy, and that the lifts were often very busy during breakfast hours, I think it would be good to give guests the option; but this is a small issue.The hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff were all polite and professional, I would stay again.

  Great hotel. Very comfortable. Located right next to subway lines, around 5-10 mins walk. Very quiet at night. Great staff. Nice people. Food is great. Bed is huge in comparison to Japanese standard. About 20 mins to shibuya, Ginza, etc. love it

  Hotel is nice but location is less convenient

  The hotel itself was nice and the rooms were more spacious and modern than a lot of other local hotels. The free afternoon snack and drink time had very nice red bean cakes and the selection of tea and coffee was excellent. Just keep in mind that unlike other Comfort Hotels in the area, breakfast is not free. I didn't find out until check in because when I booked it, it was still free. However, a week before I checked in, the hotel rebranded from a standard Comfort Hotel to Comfort Hotel ERA and breakfast became chargeable. The hotel's location is also not the most convenient if coming from public transportation. The closest JR station is Bakurocho and unfortunately, the closest exit does not have an elevator so you will need to pull your luggage up 3 flights of stairs from Exit 2 of the station and then still walk 6 blocks to the hotel. Otherwise you'd have to walk underground 6 blocks in the opposite direction to the Toei subway Bakuroyokoyama station to access the elevator and then walk back 12 blocks to the hotel. I've also stayed at the nearby Comfort Hotel Higashi Nihombashi and although the closest exit from Bakurocho station also only has stairs, at least that hotel is right outside the exit so there's no extra walking after leaving the station, and breakfast is still free there. This time I picked this hotel (Higashi Kanda) for the larger rooms and free breakfast at the time I booked. However, since there's no longer free breakfast, I will probably go back to picking the Comfort Hotel Kanda as that is closer to JR Kanda station which has an elevator so it's easier to transport your luggage and still includes free breakfast. The JR Yamanote line at Kanda station is also more convenient for tourists than the JR Sobu line at Bakurocho station.

  A gem of a hotel

  So we have discovered that booking a hotel in Japan that actually give the correct number of beds are hard. We are a family 2 adults and one child and lots of hotel wanted us to all sleep in one bed. The comfort hotel came to the rescue and we were able to get a room with enough beds for a comfortable stay.The hotel is in a great location. We enjoyed the quiteness of the area but I was easily walkable to loads of places. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned everyday.The beds were so so comfortable. The breakfast as great everyday. We had the most fabulous 9 night stay.
