    Minimal well design hotel

    rating16 May 2026

Many hotels are redefining hospitality through intentional design, eliminating clutter, focusing on clean lines, natural materials, and smart use of space to create a calm, comfortable and eco-conscious stay. The rooms are small by international standards, but this is Tokyo. The step up to bathroom is not the best but a brand new clean spacious well design bathroom makes up for it. (We just need more hooks! ) If you’re sensitive to noise, request a higher floor as we were on the 3rd, again double glazing would be great but probably too costly. They should also ask Tripadvisor to separate or remove reviews from before the renovations, as many older negative comments no longer reflect the current experience.Location maybe a little bit out of the centre but perfect to finish our trip on the way to Narita. Staff was also well trained and not robotic!

Too SMALL room size and impossible to walk through. Staff are friendly but could be better in all matters. Thank you !!!

Details of rooms and room sizes should be reviewed in its website as the smallest size should be written as first and not the second in order to avoid any confusion. It was my mistake to not seeing or reading clearly of the room size during booking through third party. During checked in, there was no explanation with regard to this matter. Additionally, during breakfast hours, there was no staff walking around with informing of the ending breakfast time, while guests might have too engrossing on conversation, then all breakfast items have disappeared. Quite Robotic.

    Hidden gem

    rating03 Jun 2025

Stayed two nights at the end of May. I got an upgrade to a twin bedroom. We left our big luggages to be stored by the hotel and the cabin sized luggage could fit easily in the luggage nook. The hotel opened in 2025 so the rooms were still very new. Cleaning of the room and toilet was done well. I am a very fussy traveler who needs separate standing shower not in a bath tub. There are not many hotels offering in Japan this but DDD has it by default and price was very very reasonable and in brand new condition compared to ageing international chains. We found the location super convenient as it is near 2 different subway lines and to get to Shinjuku, Ginza, Tsukiji market was easy, it also goes to both airports and there was lots of food near the Asakusabashi station. We didn’t have breakfast included but on check out day saw the cafe was crowded with non guests. The hotel helped to hold our luggage so we could do a few extra hours of touring. I had large and heavy luggages and was grateful I managed to flag down a cab which brought us to Asakusabashi station for just Y500 in 2 minutes as it was raining. My deliveries were well received by the reception. Will definitely recommend DDD to my friends and looking forward to stay again!

Clean, good location and friendly staff

    rating20 Dec 2024

Great location as the hotel is well connected with several different train lines and bus services within 5 minutes walk. Clean hotel and friendly staff. The rooms are small and I would recommend getting an upgrade to a larger room if you are staying for a longer period of time or have large bags especially as the minimum double had a smaller double bed. Breakfast buffet had a tasty selection but not lots of choice.

    Great hotel and located well

    rating02 Apr 2024

Great hotel, well placed with fantastic food options about a 5 min walk . Subway is also 5 minutes walk. Anyone who says the room is small has never stayed in New York ! The room was an ok size for the two of us, and very good value for money. One criticism is there is a very, very big step into the bathroom, which wasn't great if you had any mobility issues, like myself. But overall, great.
