Do not recommend, would not come back

    rating14 Apr 2026

The hotel itself was clean and tidy. The rooms are quite small, however. There are several issues that I have with this hotel, though. The first issue is the train tracks. The trains run from around 5 am to 12 am, with a train passing by the hotel every few minutes. This made sleeping very difficult as the trains are loud when passing by. The next issue is regarding the pillows, or lack thereof. The pillows are incredible thin and uncomfortable. The rooms only came with one pillow per person, so it wasn’t possible to stack pillows to get a thicker, more comfortable surface to rest your head on. The next issue I have is regarding the window and building next to the window. The bed in the room is situated against the window. The building next to the hotel outside of our window is a balcony area where people go to smoke cigarettes or take phone calls, giving them a direct view into the hotel room and specifically the bed. There is a sheer curtain that is too sheer to obstruct outsiders’ view into the room. The only way to ensure privacy is by using the blackout curtains - which doesn’t allow any natural light in, leaving the room dark constantly. Also, because the bed is situated in a corner, one person has to crawl to either the foot of the bed to get out of bed or over the other person in the bed to get out of bed. The next issue is regarding laundry. The laundry is only accessible through the men’s bath house on the second floor and is unavailable for use between 10 am and 3 pm, and I believe 10 pm through 5 am. This was extremely inconvenient for us. We also tried to have a taxi scheduled ahead of time to go on a group tour that we had to show up at 5 am for, leaving at 4:40 am with the reception, but were told that we could not schedule ahead of time and nobody would be working at the reception desk at 4:40, so they could not call us a taxi. They referred us to go to Don Quijote in the morning to get a taxi. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel and I would not stay here again. It is a convenient location, but I have been sleep deprived due to the trains and pillow situation and have not been able to fully enjoy my stay because of this. I have also attached a video of the train passing by, a photo of a person sitting right outside of our window on a phone call and a photo of the pillow, showing the size and how thin the pillow is.

    Good Value in Shibuya

    rating02 Jan 2026

The hotel is within walking distance to Shibuya Station and Crossing. It's tucked down an odd alley behind a courier service company. Felt weird every time we came and went. It's a close walk to Harajuku, which it turns out we enjoyed more than Shibuya. This hotel was good value. You can spend much more to stay in the same area. The rooms were clean and well appointed. We couldn't use the Onsen as there were no exceptions for those with tattoos.

Still a great place to stay

    rating10 Nov 2025

We came here 10 years ago and upon our "hisashiburi" return still love the place. They still have the great evening noodles, great bath and laundry facilities. They also have a great location. So much to do right there in the Shibuya-Harajuku area. They lost a point because their breakfasts now appear to be completely western. There used to be a large "washoku" component.

A city healing stay in front of Shibuya Jingu!

    rating15 Jul 2025

m impressed by the calm space in the center of Shibuya that makes me forget the hustle and bustle of the city when I take a step inside!I especially liked the large natural hot spring bath on the top floor. It's really luxurious to take a hot spring bath in Shibuya. I was able to refresh my mind and body as I was able to recover from the fatigue of the trip. "The service of ice cream after taking a bath and the night song soba is also a great point."The guest room was clean and I could spend a comfortable time. Great location and highly recommended hotel for business and sightseeing as well as for staying in Shibuya!

Quiet, quaint, and packed with quality bonuses

    rating21 May 2025

Tiny room, but high-quality freebees. There's an in-room toilet and shower, but take advantage of the ofuro (the women's was hardly ever used) and sauna. The food is great, the water pressure is heavenly, and the location is ideal -- close to Harajuku and Shibuya, but removed enough to be quiet.
