    Great Hotel and Great Location

    rating24 May 2026

We would definitely go back to the Ryumeikan. Convenient. Location was 3/4 block and across the street from entrance to Tokyo Station, JR Ticket counter, Daimaru, many shops and restaurants. We had a nice view. Breakfast was delicious - best tamagoyaki, which is evidently the mark of a good chef in Japan! The young chef did not get annoyed or rattled as I watched and admired his technique. The worst part was finding the hotel. They should have directions on their website for people coming from Narita. Here are my directions: If you take the Tokyo Limo Bus from Narita, get off, and look for the store (across the street) called Labi - go to it and then keep walking. Labi is a huge electronics store. I think that at that point you are walking north. Other small complaints: they put a smell into the air when you first walk in that bothered me. It could affect people with asthma or people who get migraines from smells. Second small complaint - the desk person we asked for help had a great deal of trouble locating their hotel on a map - so they couldn't help us with directions. But overall, we loved the hotel and without a doubt, would go back! ホテル龍名館東京 予約代表, オーナー at Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo, responded to this review Thank you for your staying with us.We extend our gratitude to those who have selected the Ryumeikan Hotel in Tokyo for their accommodations. We are pleased to learn that our location, views, and breakfast were to your satisfaction. We are pleased to learn that the tamagoyaki was well-received.Nevertheless, we endeavor to enhance the quality of our maps and staff, with the objective of ensuring that your subsequent visit is characterized by an evident improvement and a heightened level of comfort. We will use your feedback to help us provide even better service to all of our guests. We look forward to seeing you again.

    Convenient Clean Hotel

    rating18 May 2026

We enjoyed staying here. The hotel is a short walk from the Tokyo train station. The breakfast was great but it is served in a very small area and frequently you have wait for table. We booked a corner room after seeing the pictures, but they were deceiving since one wall butts up against an office building. The beds were the hardest we experienced in Japan. ホテル龍名館東京 予約代表, オーナー at Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo, responded to this review Thank you for choosing to stay at the Ryumeikan Hotel in Tokyo. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our location and breakfast. Please note that some rooms are adjacent to the neighboring building's wall and do not have a view. However, other room types have views of the main street. We hope you enjoy staying in a different room the next time you visit Tokyo. We look forward to welcoming you again.

Nice hotel, terrible online reservation system

    rating28 Mar 2026

We had a five night stay at this hotel in two different rooms. One (Forus-C) had a window but no view and it was dark and dreary. The other was a larger room with an outdoor facing window which was much better. The hotel is near Tokyo station and very convenient for all modes of rail transport - metro, regional and the shinkansen.I booked directly with the hotel around six months before our stay. I found the booking system unreasonably complicated. Despite wanting a flexible option and choosing to pay more for flexibility, the hotel charged me in full at the time of booking. The 'pay at hotel' option was greyed out which I found frustrating. It ended up costing us AUD 200 more because the Australian dollar went from 92 yen to 110 yen during that period. I hope the hotel makes their booking system more user friendly. We did not have breakfastat the hotel. There are many western and Japanese cafes/restaurants in the vicinity and in the station precinct. Staff were very polite and had working knowledge of English which was very helpful. There is a user paying laundry facility in the hotel but the dryer does not operate with the same ferocity as those in the US and other western countries so it's advisable to extend the 30 minute cycle to anhour in one hit rather than return to top up. ホテル龍名館東京 予約代表, オーナー at Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo, responded to this review Thank you for choosing Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo for your stay.We also sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your valuable feedback and comments. We are delighted that you praised our hotel's excellent location, within walking distance of five stations, including Tokyo Station. We are also honored by your kind words regarding our staff.Such comments are a great encouragement to us.However, regarding the view, due to the adjacent building, some room types do not offer a view.We also sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by our reservation system. We will continue to strive to ensure that your stay is even more comfortable in the future. All of our staff look forward to welcoming you back.

    Centrally located

The hotel is located close (7-8 minutes walk) from Tokyo Station and the Airport Bus Terminal.Bathroom was fine, with good choice toiletries. The room was cleaned efficiently and on-time every day.Room was small, even for 1 person. There was no view, you could only see the adjacent's building wall.Wi-fi was not exceptionally fast or stable. ホテル龍名館東京 予約代表, オーナー at Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo, responded to this review Thank you for choosing Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo for your stay.We also sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your valuable feedback and comments.Regarding your compliments, our hotel boasts an excellent location within walking distance of five stations, including Tokyo Station. We are also honored that you enjoyed your stay in the bathroom and that you praised our amenities and cleanliness. On the other hand, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the views and Wi-Fi functionality that you were not satisfied with.Regarding the views, some room types have obstructed views due to the adjacent building. We will continue to strive to ensure that your stay is even more comfortable in the future. All of our staff look forward to welcoming you back.

Perfect place to stay for a weeklong family vacation in Tokyo

    rating22 Mar 2026

Our family absolutely loved staying at Hotel Ryumeikan. I picked the hotel based on the reviews of good service and great location, and it did not disappoint. Conveniently located to at least 3 (if not 4) subway locations, we were never more than a 5-minute walk away from the station to start each day. In addition, within walking distance to the Imperial Palace/Gardens, Tsukiji Fish Market, and Ginza. For even those trips across town (Shinjuku, Shibuya), we were never more than 30 minutes in transit. The hotel staff were extremely pleasant and always ready to help. But what I didn't expect was how nice the hotel was; I was under the impression that it was an older hotel with some outdated furnishings, but that was not the case at all. Everything was new, modern, and clean. The water temperature and pressure in the shower was awesome, and the heated toilet seats were great! The mattress was firm. The rooms were cleaned and tidied up every day, including refreshing soap, conditioner, and body wash bottles. Our group stayed in a Suite (which was a splurge and worth every penny), 2 standard rooms, and a universal room - everyone loved their accommodations. We used our Suite (with the separate living room) as a gathering place for our whole group on most days. Laundry located on both the 10th and 12th floors; washing machine cost 200 yen, which included detergent (100-yen coins required) and took 31 minutes for the wash cycle, regardless of load size; dryer cost 100 yen for 30 minutes of drying (100-yen coins required), but could only be set for 30 minutes at a time (our large load took 3 cycles to fully dry). Only 1 washer and dryer on each floor (and so 2 sets of machines total in the hotel). We used the restaurant in the hotel a few times (for both the breakfast and lunch buffet - I don't think there was an option to just order off the menu) - it was not cheap (particularly considering most food in Tokyo is so cheap, with the yen being so weak compared to the dollar), but it was good/authentic. The free wifi throughout the hotel was great. The rooms were very quiet - we never heard any noise from outside. Perhaps the only critique is that there wasn't a ton of "charm" - it was more like a business traveler's hotel, particularly given the location in the business district - but that wasn't a problem for our group. ホテル龍名館東京 予約代表, オーナー at Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo, responded to this review Thank you very much for staying at Hotel Ryumeikan Thank you also for taking the time to post your review. We are delighted that you praised our hotel's convenient location, the cleanliness of our rooms, and the service provided by our staff. We are also very pleased that you enjoyed our renowned breakfast. We will continue to strive to be a hotel that many guests choose. Please consider staying with us again when you visit Tokyo in the future.
