    A budget option in lovely Koenji

    Koenji is a lovely district a few metro stops west of Shinjuku, known for it's underground music scene and it's bars and eateries. This new hotel offers budget accommodation in a quiet location minutes away from the metro station. The staff were very nice and the place itself was immaculately clean. It was brand spanking new when we stayed there, and we were the first foreign guests to ever stay. We were immediately upgraded to a bigger room, and towels were provided free of charge.This is Japanese-style accomodation, with tatami mats and futons. It was absolutely perfect for our needs. No-frills, clean, quiet and well-located, with convenience stores and a laundromat minutes away, and fantastic dining options in the neighbourhood.
