    A clean and comfortable place to crash after a night out. Bed was comfortable and the room quiet, with a reasonable view over the city. Check-in was smoothly completed using a QR code by filling of the forms in advance. Relatively minimal selection of items provided, though the tea was unusually good.

    I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel even on my second time. The facilities were great, the rooms were clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is very convenient, especially being close to a train exit, which made getting around extremely easy. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant experience, and I would definitely stay here again.

    Disposal of an unopened champagne

    My friend who also stayed in this hotel 4 nights with my family, accidentally left his unopened champagne in the hotel fridge for chilling, when their family checked out. He emailed them based on their corporate website but received no reply. When he returned after 4 days to stay at this hotel again for 1 night, the hotel manager informed him that they had disposed of the champagne as per their hotel policy. Apparently, all food and beverage products are to be disposed of if unclaimed after 1 day. To us, to classify a bottle of unopened champagne in the same category as perishable food & beverage sounds ridiculous. We felt that the hotel management should exercise common sense and flexibility even if such a policy exists. There was no attempt by the hotel to contact my friend. To this day, we are clueless as to whether this is a Japan wide F&B policy or just the discretionary actions of the management in this Sotetsu hotel. We have made a resolution to boycott Sotetsu hotel chain and inform all our families, friends and contacts to do the same for their future travel plans.

    Location of hotel is great in the heart of Shinjuku. Korean town right on the doorstep. Many good restaurants nearby.The room is one of the smallest I ever stayed in but it is practical, just watch how you turn around or you might break stuff LOLBreakfast is excellent by European standards. Cleanliness in public areas could use some improvement. Overall a nice stay

    The hotel was well located right next door to the station exit and on the edge of the lively area of Shinjuku. Perhaps we had been spoilt but we didn't like the area as much as we did Asakusa which coloured our view somewhat. The hotel is alongside a main road so it was noisy at night with traffic, particularly sirens. The room was an adquate size although the bathroom was a little cramped. In the other hotels we stayed in during our trip both the wc and washbasin were separate to the bath/shower so it made a big difference. The room was dowdy and dull in decor (brown) and lacked the facility of bottled water and a phone charger. Beds were comfortable but pillow hard. We didnt eat here so cannot comment on that side of things. Glad we only stayed 2 nights.
