    Fantastic Location

    rating19 May 2026

Stayed here for 3 nights with my boyfriend during the first part of our stay in Tokyo, before moving onto Shinjuku. Location wise, it is excellent. A short walk from Senso-ji Temple and the vibrant shopping streets, we were spoilt in terms of nearby activities. It's still a busy area, but I'm so glad we stayed here first rather than going straight to the more overwhelming Shinjuku. Jet lagged me doesn't like too many crowds. The room was clean, with cleaners coming every day. The shower was nice and warm. The hotel also offers free beer though we didn't have time to try this.Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.Rooms are a bit on the small side but for 23 nights I didn't mind this.Oh and one of the most important things- the bed was very comfortable.

Amazing location at an affordable price

Small business type hotel but it's an amazing location and the staff are kind and helpful. The rooms are on the small side, as it usual with a business hotel in Japan. Things looked a little older, but everything was clean and worked. The front desk staff were always kind and helpful. They helped us forward our luggage and answered questions about the area. There is also free beer, like a hotel sponsored happy hour, in the lobby at certain times. We picked this hotel because of the amazing location. You can walk to Senso-ji in like 8 minutes from this hotel, yet it's not insanely crowded in front of around the hotel. It is also fairly close to several train stations.

MINIMAL BUDGET HOTEL FOR A SHORT STAY

    rating26 Jan 2026

This was a good average standard 3-star hotel, recommended for a possible night or 2 nights (max). Remember this is a 3-star hotel, nothing more, nothing less. The positives/The good:- Great location in the Asakusa area. Literally around the corner from the action.- Service was good, what you'd expect from a 3-star hotel.- Rooms were very clean and with good amenities (the Japanese have redefined the amount of amenities in hotel rooms - which is excellent - and better than any other country)- Free beer in the evening for about an hour. A nice little touch. Honestly, I've stayed in countless hotels around the world and have never seen this before!!The negatives/not so good- Very small rooms. The rooms are VERY TINY. We did stay in a standard room, and honestly, it was just too small for my liking. It was hard to move around with 2 pieces of luggage on the floor. I think there needs to be a minimum size for a hotel room, and this just did not meet it. I understand it's Japan, but the room was too small. So I'd recommend only a night or 2, we only stayed a night/day stay. Other than that, it was fine. It was not a bad hotel at all.

    Cheap Hotel Room

    rating28 Jun 2025

This hotel was selected by our walking/hiking outfitter (Explore) for the start of our 12-day trip in Japan. Although it was conveniently located near many interesting sites in Asakusa, it was the worst hotel we stayed at. My single room was a dismal, cracker-box with a running toilet that the front desk didn't care to fix. I could eventually get the toilet to stop running by jiggling the handle a lot. Another member of our group also had a room with a running toilet for part of her stay. Such a waste of water! We stayed here for two nights, and we were given breakfast tickets to use at either one of their restaurants. I ate breakfast at their first-floor restaurant, and I regretted that choice as the western-style breakfast was not very good (e.g., the salad was swimming with salad dressing). After waiting 20 minutes for my meal, I could only eat part of it. The other restaurant had a buffet, but other group members commented that it wasn't very good, and the area was monopolized by another tour group. I later found a grocery store a few blocks away, and I bought breakfast food for the next day. Fortunately, there was a mini-fridge in my room. Although my room faced a busy street, it quieted down at night, so I slept ok. The pillows had some kind of seeds or beads in them, so I used the smaller accent pillow which wasn't lumpy. I would not stay at this hotel again.

    Needs to try harder

    rating14 Apr 2025

Great location near a metro station and the Senso-ji Temple, BUT inferior to many hotels in Japan. In particular, the breakfast buffet is very disappointing. As often happens in Tokyo, the rooms are very small. Stayed with Explore tour, so not chosen by ourselves.
