    Spotless hotel in great location

    rating22 Feb 2026

2 people on a 7 night stay in a deluxe twin room in Feb 26. Larger room than usual for Tokyo. With sink, fridge, microwave, hotplate, washer/dryer and balcony. This room is also sold as a triple (with the sofa used as a bed) - it was fine for 2 but would be a squeeze for 3 with no space for luggage. Chose for location, 5 mins walk to Mark City mall where you can enter Shibuya Station. Shibuya itself is very busy. This hotel is close enough to access everything very easily but without the street noise as its in a quiet side street. Room spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. PJs provided and toothbrush, moisturiser etc available for free from lobby. No restaurant and no breakfast (unless you want frozen noodles) but no issue at all for us as there are so many options nearby. Dont let its proximity to the dual carriageway put you off. It isnt right by it and we werent disturbed by traffic noise at all. Felt totally safe walking in local area. Housekeeping - you get 1 full room clean if staying 7 nights or more, otherwise you can only request garbage clean/towel refresh. Some hotel staff had limited English. CNN was the only English lang TV channel (for anyone intending to spend time watching tv - we were out & about all day). They charge a sliding scale for early check-in, which felt a bit much after paying Y370,000 for 7 nights. Id originally booked a well known hotel in Shinjuku but decided the area would have been too manic and glad we moved our booking to this hotel. Would stay again - very easy to get to most places from Shibuya.

    Clean and well located stay

Staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. The room was well equipped: stove, microwave, mini refri, and all you can need. It is 5 minutes away from Shibuya station.

Avoid if you expect even basic hospitality.

This place should not be called a hotel—it’s basically a self-service apartment with almost no hospitality. Rooms are only cleaned once every 7 days, which says it all.We booked last-minute during the holidays, and with most hotels full or overpriced for four people, my wife found Tokyu Stay Shibuya and reserved two rooms. What we got was far from a proper hotel experience. The rooms are tiny, with low ceilings, and the bathrooms feel like something you’d find on a cruise ship. Honestly, the value is closer to $50 a night, but we paid a steep premium due to high season. There is zero service here. Nothing about this stay qualifies as a hotel experience. To make matters worse, when we checked out at 11:45—just 45 minutes past the standard time—we were hit with an outrageous $200 charge for two rooms, we payed as we didn’t want any unnecessary confrontation with the “manager”, Yosuke Harima, t who handled the situation with absolutely no flexibility and little sense of customer care. Overall, this was one of the worst “hotel” experiences we’ve had in Tokyo. Poor value, tiny rooms, and unfriendly management. Avoid if you expect even basic hospitality.

    Awesome place!

Great no frills hotel. We booked the larger twin bedded room, there was also a couch/futon for an extra person. Lots of room, we liked having a kitchen and a washer/dryer and that we could watch our shows in Netflix. Amenities were available in the lobby and some type of food in the morning for heating in your room. Coffee available all day! Ice machine also. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We booked for later in the week as it was a very convenient area. Rom was super clean and everything appeared new.

Ticked all the right boxes. Highly recommend.

Perfect in our eyes. Location was fabulous -- on a quiet street far enough from the hustle bustle and noise, but close enough to main streets and Shibuya station (unless you have luggage). The quiet street had lots of restaurants to choose from, and there was a sizeable grocery store right across the street. Very very convenient. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were very comfortable. The girls were supposed to get the larger room and the boys were to get the smaller room. However, upon arrival, the larger room had a strong smell of moth balls. As it was late and we were tired, we didn't have the energy to ask for a different room. The boys tolerated the smell (which lasted our entire 5 night stay) as it was important that the rooms were right next to one another. One of the duvet covers did have a sizeable dried pale orange water mark on it though. It looked like it had gotten dirty after being laundered.Having a washer/dryer in the room was heaven. We did a load of laundry every night. The dining table in the room was so handy to have. We used it as a desk and to eat breakfast on. The grocery store across the street had everything we needed for breakfast and snacks, and there was also a 7-Eleven around the corner for other breakfast items. The smaller room did not have a separate toilet room but the larger room did. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again without hesitation.
