Should have been told of the refurbishment

Much as the people here are the friendliest and nicest I have ever met everything else is very bland. The food lacks choice or flavour and is bland, bland, bland. This is meant to be all inclusive but there is so much more if you choose to do it that is chargeable. We came here with Newmarket Holidays after a fantastic Safari trip looking for 4 days relaxation. Unfortunately the hotel is being refurbished in two areas, they start banging and drilling at 8 am and still going strong at 6:30 pm even our building was being painted today. Areas are roped off so it can be a longer walk around to get where you want to be. The room fridge is loud and noisy and cannot be turned off as it contains stuff that is chargeable that might go off. This is a disappointing end to our holiday and I will be contacting Newmarket Holidays when I get back to see why we were put into a hotel with so much refurbishment going on with no advance notice and an opportunity to not to come here which i would have preferred.

Glorious Experience

I came with my family and trust me the experience was amazing and so glorious. We were celebrating our 3rd anniversary and my wife's birthday and trust me the surprise plus the cake and the room decor was out of this world. Highly recommended - truly a Home away from Home ??

I highly recommend PrideInn Flamingo Beach Resort & Spa in Mombasa! My husband and I visited in May 2026, and we had such a wonderful experience. The resort was lovely, welcoming, and truly felt like a home away from home.The staff were warm and friendly, and the service was excellent throughout our stay. We really enjoyed ourselves and felt very well taken care of.A special mention to the entertainment team - every evening, we couldn't wait for the entertainment! ?? The food was also fantastic, but I have to give special praise to the dessert team. Their desserts were absolutely excellent… I think I ate a little too much dessert! ????Overall, PrideInn Flamingo is definitely a place to consider when planning a beach holiday in Mombasa. Beautiful resort, extremely friendly staff, pretty room,

My husband and I came to this resort for 3 days as part of our honeymoon in Nairobi, Kenya. It is beautiful. All the staff members we encountered were very friendly and helpful. It rained for most of the 3 days we were here, so we didn't get to get in the pool. But we did get to walk along the beach once and had a "sea safari," so to speak, with some locals who showed us all these fascinating sea creatures. It was an extremely low tide, and we got to see and touch all kinds of sea slugs, cucumbers, starfish, etc. We only had the chance to try the main restaurant and take part in the breakfast buffet. There was a huge selection, but the food wasn't anything we were familiar with, so we stuck with the omelets. The woman working the omelet station did her thing! My husband got sick while there, and I went to the lobby to see if they could tell me where I could find some Tylenol for his fever. They sent a nurse up to our room; she examined him, prescribed antibiotics, pain meds, and a hydration packet to add to water, and the pharmacy delivered it within 30 minutes. The cost was extremely low. He was 80% better by the next day. We were super impressed with this. Not to mention, super thankful. The room was nice and came with Netflix! :) The only thing we would change is softer pillows. They were hard as rocks. Other than that, we loved our stay and would come again, and hopefully it won't rain this time so we can get in that pool! A very beautiful hotel, very clean, friendly staff doing their work professionally. The service in every department was prompt, delicious food and a wide buffet to choose from.
