Location

Conveniently located in the heart of Nairobi, this city hotel is within easy access of the road leading out of the city to the Major National Game Reserve. Taxis are available on call. The Carnivore restaurant and bar is a 20-minute drive from the hotel, The city of Mombasa and its beach is around a 6-hour drive from the hotel and other nearby places of interest include Lake Nivasha (90 minutes by car), Arboretum Forest (10 minutes), Nairobi National Park (30 minutes) and the River Tana (an hour's drive). Guests will find shops just a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel has 20 junior suites, 3 suites, 2 apartments, 4 single rooms and 60 double rooms, which are located on 7 storeys and are reachable by lift. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     I had the privilege of conducting a training program for my team at the Best Western PLUS Meridian, and I was thoroughly impressed by the level of service we received. The Guest Relations Officer, Mr. Patrick, was exceptionally professional, responsive, and supportive throughout our stay. Whenever I needed assistance with guests or conference logistics, he was readily available and eager to help.Beyond his professionalism, Patrick was friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable. As an added bonus, I even had the opportunity to practice a little German with him, which made the experience even more enjoyable.I would confidently recommend this hotel to colleagues, associates, and organizations seeking a venue for conferences, training programs, or business travel.     We stayed here pre-Safari and arrived the day post demonstrations in the CBD (Central Business District). This is a gated hotel, and each vehicle is checked upon entering. With the public transportation strike that day and day previous many people were seen walking to work from many kms away including those staffing the hotel. We were hoping to explore a bit of the area, but it wasn't the day to do it. The National Musem is nearby and houses some amazing collections. Despite the current situation, the accommodation was comfortable and it was not lost on us that each person had to make a choice and effort to be there there, Asante sana. The greeting and attention by Patrick and assistance by Anthony were genuine and attentive. The server and I wish I could remember her name whose warm smile warmed the room brought hot coffee, which was delicous BTW and was so kind. Although it was short staffed due to the current situation, you would not have known only realizing when it was shared that everything but sandwiches were available. Reminder that bread couldn't be delivered during the strike. So to all staff at Meridian Hotel on 19 May 2026, we see you and you are appreciated.
