Location

A welcoming hotel located beside the Western Dvina directly opposite the old town and enjoying wonderful views out over the city. Links to the public transport network lie a convenient 200 m from the hotel; the old quarter of the city known as Hansa town features many tourist sights including Riga cathedral, the Powder Tower, Swedish gate, national opera and St. Peter's church and is a mere kilometre away. Shopping venues, restaurants, bars, pubs and nightclubs are to be found 1.5 km away and the sea is about 25 km from the hotel.

Facility

51 junior suites, 25 suites, 12 apartments, 97 single rooms and 171 double rooms are located on 9 storeys and can be reached by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well.     I am putting excellent instead of good, not because everything was excellent-some rooms were with issues with AC, and, actually, I have changed 4 rooms to find the one that works well, but the staff, that was exceptionally, extraordinary friendly and supportive, was doing just everything to help you and solve the issue. It was clean, with superb view to the river and old city, 10-15 minutes walk to the center, just crossing the bridge. Good spa, although I had a time to use it just once. It is in a quite noise-free neighborhood. Overall atmosphere is good, especially because of friendly staff. I would say it is good value for money, definitely. Try to get a room in a renovated part, but they are extensively renovating now, so their capacity is bigger and bigger. Also good conference amentities. I would like to emphasize the support we got from Evija, Gustav and Nadezhda-Evija and Gustav were our savers to find an appropriate room with working AC and Nadezhda was responsible for our event management-awesome support! I do hope, the hotel management will promote them for their professionalism and approach to the customers!     Fake Luxury at Modern Luxury Prices

    Worst hotel in this price range — and even below it — that I’ve ever stayed at. The Wi-Fi is slow, and the TV in the room is outdated and laggy, placed awkwardly in front of the only chair and desk, while the bed is off to the side of the TV. It feels like fake old luxury sold at a modern luxury price.On top of that, they charge an extra €15 per night for parking in a lot full of potholes, plus another €15 to use the pool (which I didn’t even bother trying).Even motels that cost half the price have proper showers instead of old bathtubs and include free parking. If the hotel is old, they should at least show honest, up-to-date room photos and include parking and pool access in the price.     2nd stay at this hotel. Very comfortable and nice rooms for Radisson Rewards members and fantastic staff. My choice whenever I go to Riga I even had a small balcony on my room overlooking the river. Food quality is great too!
