This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Beirut, near the major business centres and within walking distance of universities, banks and hospitals. This hotel is also in close proximity to the city centre and the most vibrant bars and night spots. The nearest beach on the Mediterranean Sea is 2 km from the hotel and the National Museum is 5 km away. Jeita Grotto is a 30-minute drive, the ABC shopping centre is 15 minutes' drive and Jounieh is around 30 min by car. The hotel is 15 min away from Beirut International Airport and 10 min from Biel exhibition centre.

Guests have a choice of 8 junior suites, 19 suites, 13 apartments, 15 studios, 79 single rooms and 28 double rooms located in a 17-storey main building and a 5-storey auxiliary building. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are a number of shops as well.     The Rotana Gefinor has now become our new: “Home Away from Home in Beirut”. We stayed there at the end of January 2026 and then a week ago. Both stays were outstanding.The minute our driver pulled up to the entrance of the Rotana Gefinor, the Bellman came out to greet us and asked, ‘How was your trip Mr. Webber.’When we approached the Front Desk they greeted me with ‘welcome back Mr. Webber’ and they the check-in process was fast and professional.We were upgraded to a very nice corner suite and waiting for us in our living room were a very nice fruit basket, a plate of sweets, a bowl of fantastic tasting mixed nuts and a very nice bottle of St. Thomas Red Wine. The view from our balcony was great as the balcony was facing the Mediterranean Sea and that afternoon there were several sail boats and a few cargo ships.That evening we had a great dinner at the hotels Olive Garden restaurant.The next morning, we had arranged for the hotel to reserve a car to get to the airport. For some strange reason, the check-out procedure encountered a long delay, but once the Front Desk Manager intervened he was able to process the final invoice and payment in an expeditious manner. All-in-all our stay was remarkably as we looked forward to our return.When we returned from Cairo back to Beirut a week ago, I decided to spend the night at the Rotana Gefinor, as I do no like to travel at night in Lebanon. This last stay was also excellent, as the hotels driver met us at the Beirut Airport and quickly drove us to the hotel. That night my wife had dinner out with a friend and so I decided to enjoy a fantastic dinner solo in the Olive Garden restaurant. The dinner was excellent as I stated with a tasty Lentil Soup, then the BBQ large Shrimps and a nice bottle of the famous St. Thomas White wine.The next morning, we enjoyed the Olive Gardens Breakfast Buffet. Again, it was very, very nice.     Gefinor Rotana location is the best though traffic is congested However the staff never fails you and always makes you feel at home.     The experience was phenomenal and a great value. The location of the hotel is convenient to downtown Hamra, and the AUB. The hotel is very clean with lots of amenities.     This was my first trip to Beirut in over 14 months, and I wanted to spend one night in this great city, so I booked my room in advance at the Gefinor Rotana.Now, after this last short stay I must admit the Gefinor Rotana is now: “My Home Away from Home Hotel in Beirut”.The Gefinor Rotana is, in my humble opinion, the best five star hotel in Beirut!There are many, many reasons why the Gefinor Rotana is so, so good.First when I drove up to the main entrance I was greeting warmly by Mr. Hassan, the Gefinor Rotana Doorman for the past umpteen years! I could not imagine how he remembered my name after such a long time. The front Desk receptionists also recognized me and asked how was my drive from Damascus to Beirut? The check in process is very fast and professional.I was upgraded to a one bedroom suite with a beautiful view of the sea and the city. I did enjoy sitting on my balcony for many hour’s!In my suite waiting for me was a fantastic Fruit Plate with seven different fresh fruits, three scrumptious deserts and one bottle of my favorite Lebanese Red Wine – a 2019 Clos St. Thomas Les Gourmets Rouge!During the morning, I wanted to make use of the hotel’s roof top Swimming Pool again, so I simply called the Front Desk and asked for a later check out time, and they at once accepted this important time extension.All the rooms at the Gefinor Rotana have been recently refreshed with new decorations and added additional work space in the living room. The rooms are fresh and very, very clean. Finally, and maybe the most important factor during each of my stays at the Gefinor Rotana I get a fantastic nights sleep as the beds are extremely comfortable.Then you must add the other important items such as the hotels main restaurant, the Olive Garden, it serves a fantastic Breakfast Buffet and has a great á la carte menu for dinner.The Gefinor Rotana has a very nice roof top Swimming Pool, which I used many times even on this short stay plus a very comprehensive Gym that has all the necessary equipment to ensure a safe and thorough work out. I suggest, if you have never stayed in the Gefinor Rotana Hotel, that you try it as you too would believe, like me that this hotel is: “Your Home Away from Home Hotel in Beirut”.
