3 nights in Kaunas room onlyNice and spacious room with wood floor, great shower and toiletries provided. Its an old and dated hotel but was very clean inside.Room not ready at check in but that was 12.30pm and was told come back at 3pm, I went back about 6pm and collected my bag (stored securely while waiting for room) and all was good.Not a great sleep, every movement the bed squeaked and I'd say the mattress had seen better days.No safe, no fridge, flat screen TV with lots of channels to choose from, staff very pleasant.The location was perfect and easy to get to at a cost of 1 euro from the airport on bus 29. It is situated right bang in the middle of the long pedestrian street, close to the river and arena, 10 minutes to the big shopping centre and 20 mins to the cathedral. Bus and train station maybe 25 mins walk.Loads of restaurants to choose from, but beware the hours they advertise aren't right as they were all closing earlier, some by 8pm.Would I stay again? Most definitely, great value, great location, maybe I'd hope for a better bed

Pretty old-timey hotel in the middle of Kaunas. The receptionist was super nice. We got two rooms– the one for two people was relatively small. If you flushed the toilet it would make noise for a *long* time. The bed was comfy though. Just an average, aged hotel room. The three-person room, however, was quite modern. We had a great TV and the room was spacious. Only downside being that it wasn't properly cleaned– there was a half-eaten sausage in the corner of our room. (interesting convo with the family!) Breakfast was lacking. Walls were thin ~8€ p/person.

We had a reservation with our children on my business trip, we arrived from Denmark via Germany,.. a little earlier and we tried to arrange an earlier check-in with the reception.. but(!) the employee, who strictly refused to introduce herself, very rudely vomited that nothing she won't do about it and sent us after the famous Russian ship, just in nice way..!I travel for work all the time, I had to stay by grandmother in Ukraine, up to Kempinski.. 100+ days a year and it's been like this for 15 years.. I'VE NEVER HAD A MORE RUDE COMMUNICATION WITH THE SERVICE STAFF! EVER!

Travelling solo first time at Kaunas. Room was big enough for one. Very good to sleep because room was bit chilly. Don't bother to pay for breakfast, there is loads of nice cafeterias near by. Location is great, could walk everywhere.

A hotel with a character of its own

It’s probably a hotel from the old times and this the charming element of it. It is good value for money, located in a pedestrian steet in Kaunas downtown . However, the condition of rooms and the hotel in general is below average and certainly need renovation, eg it licks an elevator and air conditioning .
