Disappointing stay, more 2* than 4*

    rating28 Apr 2026

We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by a sign on reception asking to call someone to come and check us in as nobody was on reception.Wasn't really given any directions to our room. The man on reception just pointed one way to the breakfast room and the way to our room. We were in room 101, no lifts to take us and our large cases, but had to navigate several flights of stairs. When we did eventually find our room, it was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable, but the room was always cold. Heating is turned off at this time of year and only 1 blanket in the wardrobe. Breakfast was really poor. You have to access it via the adjoining Korean restaurant and down a twisted staircase, not good for anyone with mobility issues. As for the offerings, hard stale bread, had to ask for butter and jam as nothing laid out. Even though it's a tiny breakfast room with not many people, food wasn't replenished often so you just went without. Eggs had to be ordered from the kitchen. The coffee machine wasn't nice at all. I have had better supermarket brand instant coffee than this machine made. The spa has to be booked at least 2 hours in advance. My husband used it but didn't even bother with the jacuzzi as it looked like it had pond scum in it, not clean at all. Plus it was very busy and not a relaxing environment, so he didn't stay long. The only advantage to this hotel is the location. Just within the old town, so easy to walk to most places of interest. A short 10 minute walk to the train and bus stations. Other than that, one of the least enjoyable stays we've had in the 41 European countries we've visited so far. Wouldn't stay here again as the standard just isn't good.

    Cheap,spacious and clean

If you are looking for a cheap hotel that is 10 minutes from the heart of the old town and gediminas tower then look no further! This place has spacious rooms, comfortable beds and a clean bathroom with a large shower. The only thing I didn’t like was that the mini refrigerator didn’t work very well, it made things colder after a 10 hours but I put my milk in and it went bad within a few days due to the mildness of the temperature.

Nice apartment very close to the Old Town

    rating22 Sept 2021

I guess it depends which room you get here how your experience will be. I was in the apartment (203) for 3 weeks and I liked it in general. Comfy double bed, a sofa-bed and some good seats. Above all very spacious and a balcony on the south-side. A water boiler, a fridge and cooking plate but no coffee maker. Haven't used breakfast but I have been in the restaurant downstairs (Belgai) a few times. Excellent food but the staff could be a bit friendlier. Some things I didn't like: -Lots of street noise as the hotel is directly at a very busy main road. Especially the cables from the trolley buses make a lot of noise as they are fitted at the hotels wall.- Lousy internet. IF it works it can be fast, however many times ultra slow and breaking up a lot. When I complained about it they changed the wifi password in an effort to solve it but sadly it didn't help. Ended up using my own 4G a lot.- Payment only by bank transfer up front. There doesn't seem to be a staffed reception anymore. Before arrival they provide you with a remote key which has to be installed on a phone.

Great location on the edge of the most interesting area of the Old Town

    rating11 Jan 2020

Check in was easy and without much luggage we easily walked to the room. The hotel is in an old building so nothing is square and some rooms can be a long walk from Reception. Cleaning was a bit hit and miss. I used a cup on Day 2 and it was still there when we left on Day 5. Some of the towels were a bit raggedy too but overall, we were happy with the room. The carpet is interesting....... but we quite liked it. You can see it in all the pictures so if you don't like it, avoid the hotel. We were in Room 211 which is meant to have a City View but with two Velux windows, we weren't going to be seeing much. We couldn't get the room to be cold enough so we turned off the A/C and opened the windows. The room can be a double or twins. My daughter likes mussels which are the speciality of the restaurant downstairs and she really enjoyed them. You can get within a couple of 100 metres of the hotel by bus from the airport which costs Euro1 per person!

I have stayed in worse but not for a long time!

    rating05 Dec 2019

Let me start by saying that while this hotel wasn't absolutely terrible, I was extremely happy when the day came to check out. I don't know what I was expecting but the Rudninkai certainly wasn't it (I didn't book it). The room size was fine (I think it was literally 3 building away and getting to and from the front desk was an interesting walk). While there was a heat pump, heated floors in the bathroom and radiators, we could not get the heat to stay on and the room was very, very cold. To say the room was sparse is an understatement. Others use the word cozy but there was nothing cozy about our room. A small tv monitor adorned the bare wall across from the bed...or should I say beds, as I discovered the dip that joined the two mattresses together when I fell into the abyss during the first night. The carpets reminded me of a prom dress I had in the early 70s so that was a nice throwback. However, the carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned for years. Similarly, I cleaned the sink and toilet on each morning we were there because when we returned to the room after the 'cleaning' there was still toothpaste in the sink and it was clear the toilet rim had not been cleaned. Staff = the two men who worked on the front desk were very nice and helpful. The woman who worked the front dest was never off her mobile phone.Breakfast = okay but don't bother with the restaurant for dinner.Overall, you get what you pay for and if you aren't fussy, this might be okay. But I think there are much better properties in the area and don't cost that much more. I definitely would not stay here again, unless it was the last option.
