    A veneer of luxury, but just a veneer

    This hotel may be best suited to those who want to stay someplace more expensive, which for Vilnius this property definitely is. One does get a calmer, more exclusive experience for the money - no part of the hotel was ever remotely crowded during my stay, despite the very central location. And all parts of the hotel are aesthetically pleasant. However, for me at least, the luxury was an illusion. The gym was so minimalist as to be useless. There is no executive lounge. Neither the hand wash nor the shower gel dispensers worked - how is that even possible? Breakfast was just okay, there was nothing in terms of the selection that made it particularly ample or interesting. And what bothered me most was that there was construction work going on somewhere in or on the hotel, so starting right after 09:00 there was a lot of unpleasant drilling noise - no sleeping in here. Couldn't they have given me a room away from that? Or at least mentioned it on check-in, or (ideally) during booking? All in all, I found decidedly little to recommend this place and am in no great hurry to return.

    Too Many Problems

    We stayed at the Curio Hotel Vilnius recently for five nights. The hotel is in a great location near Old Town, numerous restaurants, and many sights of the city. The hotel staff (front desk, breakfast) is also very friendly and provides good service.However, very disappointed with our guest room for the following reasons:* Room temperature was uncomfortably warm. Thermostat is controlled by the front desk. We asked for temperature setting to be lowered, which they did, but had no impact in our room. The second time we asked for assistance with this, they put a small (10") fan on the table in our room. This was laughable since it just blew around the warm air!* Mattresses on the beds were absolutely worn out and had no support. Sitting or lying on the bed resulted in sinking halfway to the floor. We asked for help on this issue, and they had housekeeping put a mattress pad on each bed. Again, this did not solve the problem at all.* Room had refrigerator, but the unit did not refrigerate! Did not have the ability to be plugged in nor cool the contents. It does not even meet the definition of a refrigerator! Hotel staff admitted that room refrigerators do not work as such. If you need something cooled, you have to bring it to the front desk and have them put it in their refrigerator.* Bathroom shower has two shower heads. However, only one of them worked.* Bathroom floor was not clean. Human hair found in several places.* Lotion dispenser in bathroom was empty and not refilled for several days.The problems with our guest room were unacceptable, especially for a Hilton Curio property. Hotel management was non-responsive to these issues and offered no service recovery plan. We do not recommend this hotel and will not stay here on our next visit to Vilnius.

    Beautiful hotel and great staffs

    Beautiful hotel in a great location across from Cathedral Square! We were upgraded to a large suite which was really nice. Most importantly the staffs were really nice and friendly and service was excellent. Would definitely stay here again next time in Vilnius!!     Get a decent room!

    There are many positives - the location, staff, breakfast, pool and gym but I cannot get to 5*. Why?Well I wrote in advance after reading lots of TA reviews asking for one of the refurbished rooms not near a lift. We were allocated room 219 right near the lift (this was however not noisy) and it was old. We really enjoyed our stay. But the aircon had to be set at 19c and roared away to little avail. As it was 6c when we arrived and 24c when we left yesterday the last two nights were too hot due to the old system. Also the electrics were both exciting and a challenge. We could not turn off the main lights having found them on after getting back from dinner. A young man struggled commenting how old the electrical systems were. I eventually cracked how to do it whilst no one could find a switch during our 5 night stay!Was this allocation because we booked through booking.com I wonder? The hotel did not appear to be over busy judging by numbers at breakfast.The other issue was the man on reception when we arrived who, when my wife paid the bill in advance, said to her, out of my earshot, “well I’m sure your husband will be paying it anyway”. Not exactly politically correct in England in 2026!! Also watch when they book taxis for you that they tell you the right fare. We were fleeced by 2 taxis they ordered charging for example €20 to go just to the station. It was just over €4 on the way back,But if you get a nice room you will love the place.
