This resort is located in Pantai Tengah, right on the beach.

Facility

The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A baggage storage service, a safe, a transfer service, room service, a conference room, a banquet hall and a smoking area are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning. Many units feature a sea view, which creates a particularly lovely ambience. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a minibar are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features.     After such a long time away from the beautiful island of Langkawi, I was truly excited for this trip. After reading many online reviews, I decided to stay at Best Star Resort, hoping for a relaxing and memorable experience. Sadly, the reality did not match the expectations.First impression matters — and unfortunately, the hotel lobby was extremely hot upon arrival. The only positive part was that we managed to check in 30 minutes early, which we appreciated very much because we were already exhausted after taking the 7AM ferry, renting a car, driving around the island, and getting caught in the rain.However, once we entered the room, problems immediately started appearing. The room door was in very poor condition and extremely difficult to open. I actually had to walk around searching for housekeeping staff just to help me unlock the door. After finally entering, I noticed there were no towels or even a leg mat provided in the room. Once again, I had to go out and hunt for housekeeping just to get basic necessities.The second day became even more frustrating. There is a restaurant beside the room area, and the noise level early in the morning was unbelievable. The sound of shutters opening, combined with the loud crows outside, completely destroyed our sleep. To make things worse, the window could not even close properly, allowing all the noise to enter the room easily.I cannot speak for other rooms, but based on my experience, this stay was disappointing and far below what I expected. Even the breakfast did not feel up to Malaysian hospitality standards. Malaysia is famous for amazing food, but sadly the hotel management really needs to improve the quality and taste.This trip taught me one important lesson — next time I must be more careful when choosing hotels, no matter how good the online reviews look.

    Well where do I start ??? This was undoubtedly one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in it was so dated and dismal we paid extra for a superior double it was horrible, dark dismal only 2 plug points for the whole room the curtains were drawn when we arrived so no natural light we soon realised why outside our window was the roof we of a run down building dreadful ! So yes the curtains stayed closed ! We felt the entire trip (5nights) like we just wanted to leave we actually only went there so we could get to Koh Lipe. At breakfast every tables was full of horrible dirty food and empty plates with staff all standing around talking ??? We eventually found a spare waiter and asked for a table cleaning and clearing the man could not be bothered he ignored us ??? We went and found him again he shrugged his shoulders and came with 2 paper napkins he then proceeded to just smudge the grime into our filthy table ? The staff were terrible lazy and rude they just could not be bothered we travel Asian many times a year but now not ever would we go to Langkawi again thanks the Best hotel you spoilt our time there ! Management need sacking get the lazy rude staff in order !

    I swear I have never ever been to a worst hotel. Some examples are: when I asked why only 1 of the 2 European ladies toilets was operational after being in the hotel for 7 nights, I was told there maintenance team could not repair therefore needed to wait 1 month for somebody to arrive from the mainland!! When I asked why the ladies toilet was locked between 21:00 - 21:30 I was told if I needed to use the toilet I could ask reception to open it for me or use the toilet in my room!! When I pointed out that I have not needed to ask to use the toilet since I was in school they apologised and said reception is open 24 hours, so when I duly went to reception to ask to use the toilet there was nobody there, I do have photos to back up my claims!!! This is just one of about 10 complaints I have which I will formally write when I return from my sentence!! and I will hold no punches meanwhile may I suggest if you are considering this hotel, think again. Ps we were booked into the Premier room !!!!!!!

    Unacceptable Experience – No Refund Despite Clear Agreement

    We had an extremely disappointing experience both with the hotel and with Agoda. The noise levels at the hotel were unbearable - you could literally hear everything from the street and the neighbors, making it impossible to sleep. Because of this, we decided to leave the hotel early.The hotel agreed to let us check out and promised a refund for the remaining 3 nights. Agoda confirmed the same. Before we left, the hotel made it clear to us that they had informed the third party Agoda used for the booking that we should receive our refund.However, we never got our money back. Agoda now claims that the hotel never accepted the refund, which is directly the opposite of what we were told by the hotel. In other words, either the hotel or Agoda is not telling the truth, and we are left without the money we are rightfully owed.This experience is completely unacceptable, and I am deeply dissatisfied with how both Agoda and the hotel handled the situation. It shows a total lack of accountability and respect for customers.I have been a loyal Agoda customer for a long time, but I won’t be using them again in the future.

    Extremely Disappointing Experience.Extremely Disappointing Experience.Our stay at this hotel was a complete disaster. We booked a room for three people well in advance, and when we arrived, the reception staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. To our shock, we were told there was no room available for us, despite our confirmed reservation. No effort was made to assist us, offer alternatives, or compensate for their mistake.We were left with no choice but to book another hotel at our own expense, causing us unnecessary stress and additional costs. The lack of professionalism, courtesy, and basic customer service here is unacceptable. We will never return and strongly advise others to avoid this place at all costs.If you want, I can also make a shorter, sharper version that sounds more impactful for TripAdvisor or Google Reviews. Would you like me to do that?
