  Great value for money, big rooms, close to beach and restaurants

  Good value for money! Large room with a comfy bed, a nice little balcony, good working AC, fridge and TV. 5 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. Staff were nice and accommodating. They phoned a taxi for us to get to the airport. Also had an issue with lots of ants in our room, they provided us a spray and didn’t have any further problems for the remaining few days. Wi-Fi wasn’t the best in our room, not sure if that’s due to being on the end? Pool was great but only 4 sun beds and on two occasions we had to wait for them.

  Great value, big clean rooms with good balconies

  We loved it here. Reasons: close to Pantai Cenang beach (5 mins walk), spotlessly clean, big room which was made up daily with fresh bottles of water, good fridge, aircon and kettle. Beds comfy. Shower was fine (we never got it really hot but we didn't want it hot, as it was boiling when we were there) and it was not sealed off in the bathroom (they rarely were in our 5 weeks in Malaysia and Vietnam). Lovely lady on reception, and all staff friendly and kind. Pool, although small was clean and a couple of sun loungers to sit on (it was quiet when we were there). Good balcony. No breakfast, although we were not bothered about this (and unlike Viet where it is offered everywhere, it wasn't often at this price point in Malaysia). We sat on the balcony every night and had a beer or two from the duty free shop - we had lovely views of the mountains. If you like a 5 star resort, this wouldn't be for you, but then you wouldn't be paying £28 a night. Grabs are very cheap in Langkawi and we had visits to the waterfall (it was OK) and Kuah (it was great, especially the nightmarket and all the wildlife we saw. My friend went on the swamp trip and loved it. If you are picky, you have to walk up to the rooms, and they are "simple" in decor, but we were happy.

  Great stay, great location lovely staff and good value

  We stayed in Casa Idaman for 6 days over New Year 2023 and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were big and clean, the motel was close to the beach and main strip of restaurants / shops but just off a side street so nice and quiet. The pool area is nice the pool is big enough and refreshing with sun loungers.There was a fridge which was great to have cold water and the bathroom was clean with strong shower with hot water. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even dropped an absolutely gorgeous baked cheesecake in our room for no reason other than a thank you for staying and celebration of the New Year!!The only negative was that the wifi only worked at reception, or if you hung off the balcony over the pool but not too big a problem.

  Excellent value for money

  The grab taxi from the Airport was 10 Ringgits (£1.80) for the 8km journey to the Idaman motel (we didn't tell them that we don't have a car) near the Cenang beach. Located a short walk to the beach , numerous restaurants and bars and shops (Langkawi is a duty free island).. Very friendly check in and they helped us up to the room with our bags. Big airy clean room with large bed, clean linens and towels and very good aircon. Small balcony overlooking the road, with 2 chairs. Fridge provided. Shower just average.  Good wifi and clean outdoor pool with sunloungers. Cold soft drinks available to buy, or free water  in reception. Overall excellent value for money.

  I stayed there for 3 days. Big room, good AC, fridge, balkony. Swimming pool. They clean every day. Friendly staff. They take the deposit RM100. Very close to the beach. We use GRAB (cheaper than taxi) to move along the island.I will stay again.
