Location

This beach resort is located on the beautiful island of Langkawi, on the western coast of Malaysia, and is nestled on a 14-hectare tropical estate with an idyllic private beach. The resort is ideal for honeymooners, families and open-minded holidaymakers. Cultural centres, duty-free shopping and a large number of dining options make a holiday here an unforgettable experience. Lankwai Airport is just 10 minutes away by car.

Facility

238 rooms and 22 suites are available to guests. English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a newspaper stand. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Further services and facilities include a babysitting service, a childcare service, a transfer service, room service and a laundry service. A bicycle hire service provides all the necessary equipment for exploring the surrounding area. A projector is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

Air conditioning and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (for a fee) are provided as well. Guests will also find slippers in their rooms. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a whirlpool bath. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. For guests who wish to keep active, tennis and volleyball are available. With windsurfing, canoeing, sailing and snorkelling available, fans of water sports will have plenty to choose from. Sport and leisure facilities at the resort include a gym and table tennis. Various wellness options are available at the resort, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath and a beauty salon. Leisure facilities include a kids' club, a dance club and a nightclub.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant with air conditioning, a café and a bar. At breakfast, guests serve themselves at the generous buffet. Various dishes can be ordered à la carte for lunch and dinner.

    Great for Airport, Not so much for Service!

    The location is very close to the airport and the property is big with a great well maintained infinity pool so great for a family to chill out. It's also closer to the fire-show beach so isn't much of a travel but you will find family here as in a bit of noise and chaos in breakfast. The staff is excellent but we did have a damp room issue and had to keep the windows open for couple of hours to manage the stench. Other than that the property is good, the breakfast is great. I think they provided less water despite taking extra charge for one person (no water for that guy :)) ...but we paid and make it work. Overall, I'd stay here for the pool and the airport again, but if i have time i'd look for a more service oriented one. It's a service industry after all.

    Terrible Hotel

    It is the most disgusting hotel I have ever visited in my life, blood stains on the bed, terrible smell in the rooms, sheets were not clean, towels were torn with holes in them, the restaurant was terrible and dirty , the breakfast was as rotten as expected, I would recommend never make a mistake to ever go to Langkawi Century Beach hotel.

    Wonderful hotel with a beach front pool. Big property with good internal transportation, silent, polite staff, good food, vast parking space and a private beach! We booked beach view rooms which will be small wooden cottages on the sand in front of the beach. I always pick this hotel when I travel to Langkawi. U can rent a car and self drive to this location. Peaceful stay. Best place for honeymooners. Nearer to the board yard and other locations are bit far. But worth the stay. 5star property.

    MY HKD 8801 ($1122.18) Mistake

    I booked a room at the Century Langkawi Beach Resort through Flight Centre Hong Kong. Alarms should have gone off when the agent said they had a non-refundable billing. MY MISTAKE, MY BAD. I did not check reviews on Trip Advisor, MY BAD #2. I paid the bill. After going back to my hotel, I started checking the reviews, OH what a mistake I had made (just read the reviews). I contacted the agent at Flight Centre, "I have received news from the supplier that they have agreed to a partial refund of 60 percent, which amounts to HKD 5280.60 is to be credited back to you." That was on 21 December. All I can say is don't let the nice picture influence you check out the reviews and stay away from this place.

    Worst place ever , worst resort in the world.There i nothing here for which you will pay a handsome amount here .Ample of problems :1   tv has only one channel2   no programmes at all3   spider webs every where in bathrooms and rooms4   no service in the rooms5   no air conditioning in lobby 5   haunted house 6   lockers are not working7   no towels at pool 8   dirty pool 9   no scenic view 10 broken roofs picture posted11 no proper maintainance12 no clean restraunt 13  hotel is like a jungle 14 leaves shed every where 15 most of the equipments are broken 16  no entartainment programme like other resorts17 no proper breakfast as there in no half fry and 5 to 6 items in total and no refilling of juice bars18 broken things every where19 broken wooden floors20 no lamps across the paths from jungle if you are walking at night so you can get serious injuriesHotel is not even worth of a singe star Compmete waste of moneyI am staying in room number 1101 one of the hotel staff told me that this hotel was first run by Sheraton, but now it is run by century which fired the staff of the hotel and there is no staff here for service
