Dirty and extremely pathetic service

Poor hygine, worst cleanliness and aweful staff (especially at reception and manager)We left the hotel after 1st night there, took a loss of 3 days booking. But that loss was worth as we escaped the bad smelling, unclean and dirty hotel where room is filled with dirt and cockroach. Towels were not washed and had hairs in it. I am sure no blankets were washed too. Staff,mainly management and reception, is unresponsive. Telling them that the room is unclean got us a response that 'please don't bring food to room'. Then I had to remind them that we checked in 5 mins ago. Pathetic. No facilities. On asking for basic towel or water bottle, they start asking for money. Again have to remind them that this is basic facility you should provide to your paying customer. Please avoid at all cost. Don't go by other reviews, we got fooled and we met couple of other families who also were suffering.

This is an Islamic Hotel. It is located 20-30 mins from the airport (depending on the traffic). The hotel is in Kuah town center and nearby you find a lot of bazaars, a big duty free mall (HIG owned) and plenty of restaurants. You can access the tourist spots via Grab (e-hailing service) if you don't have pre-booked tours or a rental car.The hotel is old but room was okay. We booked the sea view and it was decent.Facilities in the hotel is good.Amenities in the room is also good.F&B selection during breakfast was plenty. The price was reasonable and it's a good location in town.

The hotel is located in Kuah Town and next to HIG mall. Really convenient for those who wants to go shopping and looking for chocolate and cookware. There are HIG bazaar and foodcourt too in front of the hotel. The staff is polite and friendly. The room is clean. Overall is ok and nice to stay.

The hotel was lovely and clean with a nice view from higher ground. All toiletries provided.Room was spacious. Local food can be found around or nearby.Beside a shopping complex with duty-free shops. FYI, do not purchase Gamat products inside the HIG shop as price was expensive than outside the shop.

Honesty the best policy

I left my coat/suit/blazer in the room during check out, after that the good news is I managed to retrieve it back from the hotel. I guess the fundamental core value of the hotel made this happened. I couldn't imagine what would happen if this happened at other hotels... "Sorry sir, we couldn't locate it, maybe..." But the management of HIG has instilled the right core value to its asset. Kudos and well done. HIG stands for Haji Ismail Group. A true islamic hotel. Walking distance to HIG complex, a land fill of chocolate (honey and milk too?)The delish breakfast is a challenge for those who has small apetite and difficulties to decide.
