  Not recommend for transit to ferry

  We arrived with each of us with a big and a small backpack. First we had to take off our shoes to enter the reception. The hotel seemed not to have much guests but we were given a room in the second floor and there is no elevator. We had booked only one night to get the ferry at 7:30 am. Therefore we asked at the reception if Grab would be available early in the morning and as we could get no answer, we asked for a phone number for calling a taxi but received the reply that she does not know any number. In the morning no Grab was available and from three taxi numbers we found with Google, one replied that it was too far and the others did not pick up the phone. We had to walk with all our luggage about 30 minutes to the Jetty. Poor service, bad location for taking an early ferry.Room was very clean and spacious but air condition blasting directly to the bed and to cover yourself in the bed there is only the heavy bed day cover that we doubted to be washed after every guest, so we were happy to have brought our own sleeping bag. There is a list with rules including that not married couples and alcohol is not allowed.If you search for a hotel to get the ferry, better book one more far away from Jetty but closer to the Center of Kuah, so that you will be able to take a taxi.

  Nice view and have seaview ballcony ..clean room n superb ..also can get rest in small swiming pool nearby the hotel....have a steamboat restaurant ....quite place to have privacy ..superb place ..cooling air from sea

  The Penarak Bamboo Beach Motel is located about 5 minutes drive from Kuah Town and the Kuah Jetty. The place is a little isolated and should only consider staying here if you are renting a car.I just needed a place to sleep and this place only cost RM 50 so why not. Room is basic - not too bad for a person. Bathroom does come with toiletries - shampoo and soap.Parking is plentiful and hotel is well kept.Only comment is the lobby is not open 24 hours and I wanted to check out early but it was not opened - so I just slipped my key under the main door.

  We are langkawian.Rude reception.We ask for the room the be the last and near with sea.With the rude said'occupied by other'.ok.by night all the room still vacant clean.dont lie.we hate it.come to room. We just leave a thing and going back again to work.as we work at langkawi.after , we see the balance cigartes not been clean up and the floor not be mopped as they use tiles and clear see a lot of hair, also in the bathroom.we call reception about the matter and they said`i dont know , i work as evening shift.'not late around 8pm.we just ignore as we stay 1 night for rest our mind.we just ignore.when check out, we meet the same person we check in.we just give a complaint about the cleanliness.the rude reception again said'why dont call yesterday after check in`. It seem uols just be a motel.we are langkawian and we can suggest your motel due nice view and we can fishinh.but with the rude and very bad attitude , you think it same with value we pay you.We just need word of sorry..dont lie , and become rude.as i know im not become rude to you.

  Stayed here for a few nights on our trip to Langkawi.ProsFriendly and helpful staffMoped hire from motelViews from the water rooms are greatSmall balcony to enjoy the viewsClose to city centreKettle in the room with coffee ConsRooms are very basic and not worth the price they are charged atRooms without a view are little stuffy boxesFull of mosquitosVery noisyWe could not swim in the pool without being starred - we felt very uncomfortable as westerners here The moped was falling apart, one mirror, broken seat etcThere are no eating places around accommodationYou do need transportThe only reason we stayed was due to the fact that we got a reduced room rate because we had no hot water.
