  Make to mistake: this is an old old hotel, with everything that comes with age: old, dusty, faded carpets that look like they haven’t been vacuumed for the last 10 years, chipped and worn off furniture which was beautiful once upon a time, gorgeous antique chandeliers in the lobby and a cozy bar, complete with good size drinks.Is it worth its price? Nhaa. I’d rather stay in the Strater downtown: same old charm/annoyances, but it’s in the middle of things, it’s just a short walk to all places downtown. It did not help that the Front Desk lied to me about Uber not working in Durango and recommended two Taxi services instead… Not going back**

  Room was fine. Not having to beg to get the room cleaned daily was a plus. River view was quite pleasant as advertised. We were rather surprised with the $14 pd parking charge in Durango—Dallas or SF it isn’t!! Perhaps they are trying to gouge in order to pay for the pop corn ceiling replacement. This should be spelled out more clearly when booking and not appear quite so devious

  Our stay at the DoubleTree in Durango is always a fantastic experience. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the location feels safe and is within easy walking distance of downtown. The staff is consistently welcoming and friendly, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. Our kids especially love the indoor pool and watching the ducks along the river

  Super clean, such charm, and the perfect place for 50th birthday!

  Doubletree was THE perfect spot to stay in Durango for my friend’s 50th birthday celebration. We had the most beautiful riverside suite, lots of room to gather with a few friends, and have the best “staycation!” (We live in Durango.) The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and has such charm. My friends and I will be staying here for many 50th birthdays to come.   The property is rundown and not great. The river view rooms feel unsafe - the sliding doors feel very sketchy and open up to the pathway. The only reason I gave them stars is, some of the staff is absolutely wonderful, such as the long-time restaurant waitress. The desk personnel and others are very cold and unpleasant.
