  A laid back place to relax

  A nice old but spacious mini resort. Don't expect fancy rooms or service. Instead, it is a laid-back and secluded place with large rooms and plenty of space outside to sit in the open. The rooms were basic and rather old. If there is nobody at the reception, try knocking and it is likely they are in the room besides sleeping or working.The best thing is the open space all around, sitting areas, hammocks, and access to your private little beach exclusively accessed from the hotel (though there is a small ferry terminal opposite so it is not like it is out of view). It is also located outside of the main hustling areas so suitable for those who like quiet and secluded places.

  THEFT OF ~900 USD FROM LOCKED HOTEL ROOM

  Our stay at Senari Bay Resort resulted in the THEFT OF 900 USD EQUIVALENT WORTH OF CASH FROM OUR LOCKED ROOM. Multiple currencies of RM, SGD and USD were skimmed from our baggage left in the room. This occurred after the first and only housekeeping of our 4 night stay. The cash was hidden in an envelope in a zipped pouch in a zipped pocket of a zipped luggage. No safe is provided in the room so expect rummaging of any possessions left unlocked. No CCTV cameras present and security is non-existent.Management is friendly and helpful but the staff are questionable. Room was decently clean. Air-con and fan provided. Breakfast was provided and reasonable. Location was quiet. Cheap taxis to all main attractions. Water bottles and filtered water available. Tour packages available at an affordable rate.Lizards and ants in room upon arrival and during our stay.Towels, bath mats, toilet paper, and other basic amenities must be retrieved from upon request.CRT/Tube TV had 3 channels that were basically unwatchable due to static. Not a problem for us, but may be an issue for families or guests that hope to have entertainment in the room.

  Peace and Privacy - Good Wifi..

  Your own private beach but ..small harbour with ferry and fishing boats 200 meters from hotel. Decent size room, with antique tele but the best hammocks outside the door. Wifi was very good thank goodness. The beach did have daily rubbish wash up which was disappointing and some guest collected it, but personally, I thought it should be a responsibility of the owners/managers/staff. The bed was uncomfortable, breakfast was very local packaged in so much plastic and containing too much sugar. The place is clean (apart from the beach) and the staff friendly, but I would not go back anytime soon. We were able to walk for supplies over a bridge to a decent sized grocery shop but really not walking distance to Cenang Pantai. The resort definitely could do with a major update.

  Peaceful little resort with basic amenities and lovely staff

  We spent 3 nights at this charming place and could have easily stayed for another week.Albeit it’s a bit of a walk to eateries and Cenang beach, the hotel grounds are lovely, peaceful, clean, and even if all rooms were booked, we still had a feeling that almost no one was staying there.The rooms (which are kind of a row of attached bungalows) are very basic, but spacious, have fan and AC, hot water with really good water pressure - if anything, we would have liked a bit more lighting by the bed (unless you turned on the bright ceiling light, it was quite dark). The beds may not be comfortable for all, but seemed ok to us.Definitely bring a bug spray, if you plan to sit outside in the evening.One thing that would probably need to be fixed is the wifi connection- we couldn’t connect at all in our rooms sometimes.The breakfast- delivered in a bag early in the morning to every room- is a tremendous effort by this hotel, and we more than appreciated it! Different selection every morning, you have coffee/tea in the room to go with it.The location of the hotel is great if you are flying in and out of Langkawi, and distance to the Cable car was about 20Rg with Grab (FYI, the hotel does not provide the transport to the airport)Would not hesitate to come back!

  Wonderful stay!

  Quiet location, very nice private beach, wonderful friendly family and spacious, clean rooms (they clean the room every 2 days). We felt safe and comfortable. This was one of our favorite places in Asia to stay. We booked for 7 nights and decided to stay a few days longer. Excellent value for money and if we’re back in Malaysia, we will visit again!
