Location

The resort is situated at the northern tip of Langkawi, near the Thai border. Tanjung Rhu has one of the most unique eco-systems in Malaysia. Set in 1,100 acres, a beautiful combination of mangroves, waterways, limestone cliffs and sandy beaches form a nature-lover's paradise. The centre of the town of Kuah on Langkawi is about 30 km away, and the airport is about 30 minutes away.

Facility

The resort has a lift and features 137 rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a hairdresser and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. In most units, a balcony with sea views provides an ideal place to relax. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. There is also an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a TV, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The resort has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The resort offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, beach volleyball, golf, archery, fishing and horse riding. A wide range of sports are available, including water sports such as windsurfing, motorboat rides, canoeing, snorkelling and diving or, for a fee, catamaraning. The complex offers numerous indoor sports, including a gym, billiards, darts, bowling, yoga and table football or, for a fee, aerobics. Various wellness options are available at the resort, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty salon, massage treatments and hydrotherapy treatments. Entertainment options and leisure facilities include an entertainment programme and a kids' club.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant with air conditioning, a café and a bar. All-inclusive can be booked. A wide variety of dishes are served at all three main mealtimes. Guests can enjoy lunch and dinner as a set menu. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options, picnics and snacks are available.

    I simply love everything about this resort especially its serenity and calmness. It is as if the world stopped for me. Couldn't find a better place in Malaysia for the same experience. I also love the fact that the pool and gym are closed at 11.00 PM.     Loved the location with the amazing evening sunsets. Great facilities, amazing breakfast and multiple dinner options on a daily basis.On top of that very friendly and nice staff that try the upmost to make your stay memorable.We had the chance to drive around the island ourselves and in our case this was definitely the best we could have chosen.Can highly recommend Northern Episode Langkawi for taxi service & renting reliable cars for a good price (much better arrangement and service then the big companies)In case you have the opportunity to choose a room with sea view like we did, it is very much worth it even though you are already next to the beach. It will make your stay even more memorable.In case we will ever come back to Langkawi no doubt that we will stay here once more!     Amazing beach! Peaceful and quiet. Rooms were spacious and a little dated, but was cozy. Staff were friendly and welcoming! Made our stay enjoyable and memorable.
