Location

This resort is located on Pantai Tengah, in the south west of Langkawi, where a beach of soft golden sand stretches over around 400 metres. It lies about 10 minutes' walk from the hustle and bustle of Pantai Tengah's shopping arcades, some 25 minutes' drive from Kuah town, around 30 minutes' drive from the Craft Culture Complex and only around 15 minutes away from Langkawi International Airport.

Facility

99 rooms are available. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. The grounds of the complex feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for no extra charge. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can relax on the balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. A safe and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. Further amenities include an ironing set and a trouser press. Equipped with a direct dial telephone, a TV, a plug adapter and WiFi (no extra charge), the rooms provide many ways for guests to stay connected and entertained. Slippers are included. A hairdryer and bathrobes are provided in the bathrooms, which include a shower. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. The resort has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. Refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub offer the perfect way to unwind. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. For guests who wish to keep active, cycling/mountain biking, beach volleyball and fishing are available. A number of sports are available, including water sports such as jet skiing, canoeing, sailing, snorkelling and diving. For a fee, guests can also enjoy water skiing and windsurfing. Sport and leisure facilities at the resort include a gym and table tennis. Various wellness options are available at the resort, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, massage treatments and hydrotherapy treatments. Entertainment options and leisure facilities include an entertainment programme and live music.

Meals

The dining area includes a restaurant with air conditioning and a bar. A wide variety of dishes are served at all three main mealtimes. Guests can enjoy lunch and dinner as a set menu. Diet meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available.

    SCAM!This resort employs some scammers and is not fixing the problems. I thought I´m smart and book directly through the company webpage. Then I got a reply from some of their employees who have set up a side business, selling me a holiday package, which I paid, but the money was a bank account in Malaysia which doesn´t belong to the resort owners. Once the planned holiday got closer... this became clear, as the resort had no idea about my booking. After some discussion the hotel has confirmed to me in written, that they are facing that problem of fraud among their staff. I received then a 50% discount on an additional payment. And when I searched about this issue, I had to figure out, that it happened the same to other guests. As a former expat in this region I had been several times a guest of Frangipani... and I have to say, it is run down... the location is great, but the rooms are old and the gardening is done poorely. We have never used the beach, as there are much nicer beaches around the island. Finally... during the stay in the resort, one of our wallets got stolen from the room service out of the room. The management has informed me that they will repay me the hotel fees... however, this is now a for and back process since more than 2 months, and I get asked for strange things like my credit card expiry date and CVV (which I didn´t gave of coures) and I´m honestly not sure, if I´m talking again to the same scammers as at the beginning of this Odyssey. I recommend you to look for another newer resort.

    The staff are so friendly , everyone smiles and says hello, even the gardeners and cleaners. The rooms are spacious and clean with the swimming pools right on the beach. Special mention to Farah who we met at the reception desk, she has been so helpful sorting out all our problems, even to getting our Netflix working as it was too wet to go out today. She definitely goes above and beyond in her customer service

    Poor value for money, poorly maintained, no quality control. Lovely location. When we arrived the air conditioning was blowing, but it was not cooling. We did not understand it was malfunctioning and spent a night sweating in boiling heat. The shower did not have the hot water connected. we notified reception of these issues on day 2 and they were fixed, but given the price it is not acceptable that basics like air con and shower were not working. Please check this before guests arrive.The breakfast was good and the setting was amazing. The beach is lovely.

    The best part of this resort was the staff, who were consistently kind and helpful—particularly Fatin, who was very knowledgeable about the resort farm.The location is ok, although there are nicer beaches elsewhere on the island.The resort markets itself as eco-friendly, and you can adopt a frangipani tree, but daily single-use plastic water bottles and miniature toiletries seemed at odds with that positioning.The overall condition and maintenance of the resort were disappointing. Across three rooms: • One had very poor water pressure and no properly hot water (only tepid). • A window was broken at the hinge, leaving a large gap for mosquitoes; the eventual ‘fix’ was to screw it permanently shut. • Another room had a bath that had not been cleaned, and a completely blocked drain which required several hours of maintenance and brown water backflow to resolve. • We also noticed issues such as slow-draining sinks and marks in the bathroom that had not been cleaned.These problems suggested maintenance is largely reactive rather than proactive.Facilities were also underwhelming (e.g. the ‘computer room’ was a small, dirty, poorly maintained space with a broken air-conditioning unit).Food was average. Breakfast was unremarkable, with grey scrambled eggs and cheap jam which I’m not sure had ever seen a strawberry and our one evening meal was disappointing (e.g. soggy pasta and gristly meat in bolognese), so we chose to eat out for the other nights (Scarborough Fish & Chips was great!).Overall, while the staff were excellent, the condition of the rooms and facilities does not currently match the resort’s positioning or room rates.

    A resort of thief and scammer!!!! “DONT BOOK YOUR STAY HERE”

    If you just give a keyword “scammed booking and thief” to google when you search Frangipani, it will lead you to a lot of bad reviews.The Frangipani Langkawi Resort & Spa after we got scammed through the booking site (thousand of euros), we gave you chance and still booked for a stay at your resort. But today I just found out that I lost some cash! It was a hard-damn-earned money!! I will only give that thief until tomorrow to return the money and for your resort to solve that issue! Or else, I WILL BE YOUR RESORT’s FOREVER NIGHTMARE BECAUSE I WILL NOT STOP POSTING BAD REVIEWS ABOUT THIS RESORT!!!. That shady old-looking hotel where we book last yr in Cenang was even a nice experience. I did not lost a thing, not even a receipt! So yah. What a shame to your resort!!! I hope this resort gets bankrupt!
